  • "This is a lovely cottage, among the best we've ever stayed in."

It is spacious, clean, comfortable and convenient - everything has been thought of. All the facilities worked perfectly. We were there just after Christmas and the cottage was beautifully decorated - it must have taken a great deal of time. The wood burning stove was great and we enjoyed the extensive view from the upstairs windows. There are good walks in two directions from the door (bring wellies if it's wet). Altogether a great place to stay.

Home from home, furnished and kitted out with quality items, showing great care and respect for the guests. Sue’s attention to detail and thoughtfulness were greatly appreciated, from fresh farm eggs, runner beans to delivering a parasol when the heat came down over Shropshire.

  • "This is a beautiful cottage and we were very happy with all the facilities."

The problem is it is five miles from the main road down tiny narrow lanes and every time you want to go out you have to negotiate single track overgrown roads with few passing places. I regret it spoiled our holiday and we came home after three days.

  • "The house was very clean and well presented and was fully equipped to make our stay wonderful."

The house is situated in the middle of nowhere which made it extremely peaceful. Floorboards extremely creaky so everyone knew whenever someone moved around upstairs! The garden furniture was a a little disappointing - everything was filthy, only four comfortable outside chairs and no umbrella. The track entrance needed a mirror as on a blind bend and had to manoeuvre in 2 goes leaving vulnerable to anything travelling fast round bend The arrival directions were not correct (we realised in advance so didn’t follow them)

. responding to our random queries promptly! A truly stunning view from the rear of the property and inside was cosy and quiet. And gaining access to the rear field was a dream.. even if the kids did feel a bit shaky from all the rolling down the hill

The cottage has everything you need and we couldn't find any faults, great stay

  • "The cottage was cosy, clean and a lovely stay!"

The log burner was a bonus due to the cold weather and each bedroom was spacious and clean! I was pleasantly surprised to find a downstairs cloakroom which was an added bonus as on the description it wasn’t clear that there was one. Communication with Sue was amazing, and the message I received in the morning regarding the farmers market was a lovely touch. We had a problem with the Wi-Fi which was resolved within a few hours and I cannot fault anything about the cottage or the property owner. I would definitely return and recommend.

  • "Lovely cottage in a pretty remote spot."

Nice to be away from any main roads etc. my daughter liked checking out what Rupert the horse was doing next door each morning. Weather was good but, not hot, which is the gamble in April but the large log burner was plenty to keep us nice and toasty in the evenings! With some nice National trust properties within 30 mins drive there was plenty of options for days out as well as having a look round some of the local villages/towns. We particularly liked Ludlow for range of shops and pubs etc.

Set in a wonderful location handy to get to a number of local tourist sites in the area and beyond. Remember to take supplies with you as you are away from the shops (about 5 miles) but loved the peace and quiet as well as the comfort. Will definitely looked to come again. Just 1 small footnote... missed having a bit of milk in the fridge waiting like we have had at other places as could get the kettle on for a cuppa without getting unpacked first

  • "The bathroom toilet definitely needs attention."

It does not flush properly and the seat is very wobbly. Also the fan which comes on with the bathroom light, stays on for far too long after the light is switched off. During the night this can disturb others. Would benefit from being an independent fan switch. Also it needs pointing out in the property details that the bedroom with 2 single beds does not have a wardrobe. This did not affect us, but others may be angered. For warned is for armed as they say. Other than that we enjoyed out stay. Lovely setting, good views and very tranquil and quiet. Lots to see in the area with Ludlow, Bridgnorth and the Severn Valley Railway.
