  • "The perfect cottage for two to enjoy a short break."

  • "The flat was immaculate but I was disappointed that there was no welcome pack nor instructions about using microwave or cooker or heating."

The taps were stiff and leaky .The shower was great and the view and silence lovely. The garden was scruffy but dog proof .

  • "We found the Brewhouse to be exactly as expected, offering comfortable contemporary accommodation."

It is well thought out given the limited space. The bedroom is comfortable but has limited storage space (2 three draw beside units & a short hanging rail) Note - Even though there is a sofabed in the living area offering flexible sleeping arrangements, this property is not really spacious enough to accommodate more than 2 people. The en-suite shower room is a good size. The living area is a cosy functional open plan space with kitchen & fold-away dining table. The pub next door (owners of the Brewhouse) has recently changed hands, The food menu had a good variety. We really enjoyed our stay, would stay again.

  • "Accommodation is smaller than appears on website but it wasn't a problem for us as only there for a few days."

Lack of hanging space might cause problems for some but we managed to live out of suitcase. It is difficult to see how a cupboard/wardrobe could be fitted in but overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

  • "We enjoyed our fortnight stay very much."

The Brewhouse is delightful and quietly rural but it is small with virtually no storage for clothing so we lived out of suitcases. Some hanging space so take coat hangers. The facilities otherwise were good. It is very well located for visiting places of interest and as NT and EH members we found many places to visit, all a little different from each other. The Danery provided some excellent well above average pub meals when we did not cook for ourselves and the new tenants are very friendly and helpful. Some telephone contact numbers you gave us are out of date because of new owners so please check this out

  • "The Brewhouse is very small but comfortable enough for a short break."

We and our dog were made very welcome by the owners and the locals in the pub next door. The food in the pub was excellent and a good price. A beautiful part of the country.

  • "Really lovely accommodation."

Linked to a very friendly and welcoming pub which serves very good food that does special offers Thursday and Fridays. The property is in a great spot. It could be made much nicer if they made the garden tidier and included a patio set to allow a seating area. Not much hanging space but could be have a remedy if the supplied a few hangers for the rail that is there. Should be easily cleaned to a higher standard. Very comfortable large bed. Would recommend as in easy reach to a lot of areas in Shropshire. Long mynd was a lovely walk and loads more like that.

  • "The Brewhouse was very clean but smaller than the picture made it look, there is nowhere to hang clothes, but it was comfortable."

The Danery pub does lovely food but is closed on Mondays and doesn't do food on Tuesday, although I think that changes when custom picks up. Everyone in the pub made us feel welcome.

The Brewhouse was very centrally placed for the walking and the other activities that we had planned. All in all a very enjoyable week.

  • "Lovely cottage, very clean and next to a good pub."

The only problem is the almost complete lack of anywhere to put clothes. There are 2 bedside drawers and a small space to hang clothes (about 6 coathangers) and that's it. Not good if you're on a walking holiday like we were.

  • "There was just one or two issues ."

There was no where to hang your clothes (apart from several cheap coat hangers ) in a very small vestibule. The other issue there was only a fridge the freezer compartment was no use we had to throw food away about £15 .This was a shame as it was a very clean and comfortable cottage .I have travelled considerably and never been at a place without a wardrobe .I am not sure if I will use you again . I HAVE mixed feelings

The owners were very friendly and helpful. The pub had good food and was very dog friendly with a very good outside sitting area. We were lucky to be there when they had Saturday night live music which we enjoyed. If we were in the erea again we wouldn’t hesitate staying there

  • "Lovely cosy property with excellent facilities and cleanliness."

Ideal for 2 adults and maybe 1 or 2 small children as only 1 sofa in the living area. No door to separate living and bedroom prevented any pet being contained in the living area. The garden is a lovely setting but isn’t fully secure to leave a dog roaming. There is a lovely riverside walk nearby that goes into Bridgnorth which takes about an hour, the town is really good. Overall very satisfied with the property.

  • "We've stayed numerous times which says how much we like it there."

It is wonderfully located for loads of lovely places in the area, Bridgnorth is about a 5 minute drive away. The property is excellent and well designed, rather like a high spec studio apartment and absolutely ideal for couples. Despite being above a pub the property is quiet, so very relaxing and the view out of the french windows is charming. Worth noting is that as this is compact in size there is limited space for luggage so try to travel light, also whilst it does not advertise wifi on the ad there is free wifi but it is very slow and drops out a lot so using it can be hit and miss, but if you are on hols getting away from it all then that's a bonus! Overall a wonderful little place, well worth staying at and incredibly good value.

  • "Wonderful location."

We have family close by so great place to stay and be able to pop round to see the and then go back and relax. Also proximity to places we like to visit such as Bridgnorth, Church Stretton etc. The place itself is lovely, very warm and cosy and ideal for couples. Brilliantly well appointed and of a high spec. Just be aware that it is compact so not lots of storage so try to be economic with your luggage.

  • "Lovely little property."

Clean, comfortable, well equipped, quiet location. As it is so small, probably better for short breaks rather than a whole week. nowhere to put cases/bags - we put ours in the living area at night and moved them into bed area during the day - not a critisism, just an observation : )

  • "Small, well-equipped barn conversion backing on to the owner's pub in a beautiful part of the country with lovely views."

The owner and pub staff were all very kind and helpful, and the pub food was tasty - The Danery is an extremely popular place! You can take dogs into the bar and garden but not into the restaurant area. The cottage is OK for two people but I wouldn't recommend it for four. The settee doubles as the sofa bed but is not the most comfortable. The beds on the other hand were extremely comfortable, with crisp white bedding. Bathroom towels were lovely and soft. The bedroom is quite small so there is very limited hanging/storage space. You may want to take a few extra coat hangers. Free wi-fi available. In the garden there is a wooden table and seating for four, all of which are past their best, and with no cushions gets quite uncomfortable after a while. However, the seating area is a lovely sun trap. All in all, a wonderful holiday.

About the location

BRIDGNORTH

Much Wenlock 8 miles; Ironbridge 15 miles; Shrewsbury 20 miles; Ludlow 20 miles; Church Stretton 20 miles.

The market town of Bridgnorth lies in two very distinct halves - the High Town and the Low Town - separated by the red sandstone ridge on which the town is built. The two halves are connected by winding streets and flights of steps, or there is always the steep funicular railway, enabling the weary traveller to glimpse what Charles I called "the finest view in all my kingdom". A bustling Saturday street market provides an ample excuse to explore the town and examine the castle ruins, which lean at a greater angle than the Leaning Tower of Pisa! Flowing below is the River Severn, providing many pleasant riverside walks. The Severn Valley Railway runs between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster, and runs a variety of steam and diesel engines through picturesque country stations. In the areas surrounding Bridgnorth, there are a wealth of country parks, impressive houses, museums and picturesque Shropshire villages, as well as easy access to The Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford, and Ironbridge Gorge, with its 10 museums and striking landscape. The area offers excellent walking, and with the popular destinations of Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Church Stretton all within easy reach, it is ideal for a visit any time of the year.
