  • “The location is just lovely with a woodland walk literally on the doorstep.”

Peaceful, tranquil and beautiful surroundings. I found everything I needed within the house and it was comforting to know the owners were nearby if I needed anything. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay - only wish it had been longer! Highly recommended.

About the location

Cleobury Mortimer 4.7 miles; Ludlow 11 miles; Kidderminster 15.5 miles.

The scattered village of Farlow lies amongst beautiful countryside in southern Shropshire, offering many walks and cycle routes in all directions. Just a short drive away, beneath the shadow of the mystical Clee Hills, the pretty town of Cleobury Mortimer provides a refreshing selection of shops, pubs and restaurants in an array of Georgian and Tudor architecture, along with a striking parish church with an unusual, twisted spire. The area around the Clee Hills provides excellent walking, cycling and golf, plus fishing can be enjoyed at one of the many pools in the area or on a quiet spot along the River Severn. The attractive market town of Bewdley, once described as "the most perfect Georgian town in Worcestershire", has much to delight visitors with a good selection of pubs and cafes along the riverside, and many tiny shops, antique and craft galleries all surrounded by rolling hills, wooded valleys and meandering rivers offering many opportunities to discover a rich diversity of wildlife. Bridgnorth, with its winding streets and infamous castle ruins, is within easy reach, presenting an ideal opportunity for a trip on the Severn Valley Railway, whilst the medieval town of Ludlow, with its superb 13th Century castle, fascinating antique shops and choice of Michelin-starred restaurants is well worth a visit. Plenty to see and do, for all the family.
