The property was clean, well maintained and had a lovely outlook on the river. The only negative for us would be the double mattress was not particularly comfortable and the vacuum cleaners did not work well at all which meant we could not leave the place as clean as we would have wished.

  • "A lovely cottage in a secluded quiet spot on the side of the river and alongside a small green with a pond."

The property was exceptionally clean and beds were comfortable. Safe enclosed garden for our grandchildren who enjoyed watching the boats go by. The only down side for us was that the cottage was very secluded, nothing within walking distance ( except the pub) and to fully entertain the children we needed to take the car out every day to find activities/playgrounds. The Severn valley rail journey was well worth it-had a fab day.

  • "A very large, spacious, and well equipped apartment for a family."

More suited to shorter stays with a dishwasher rather than a washing machine required for longer stays. Some views of the River Severn, but some inner rooms have no windows. Good tv and Wi-Fi. Safe garden for dogs and outside relaxing and eating. Good parking. Some noise at times from upstairs, but generally a nice holiday in a good location for Worcestershire holidaymakers.

The single bedroom was dark and damp as there was no window. The kitchen seating was benches which when you cannot sit without back support this is no good it needs proper chairs. The television was very confusing as the channels were not in any order this is typical of a toshiba. Location was very good,

  • "One of our main concerns was that there was no window in the bedroom with two single beds, therefore no air flowing through from anywhere."

No instructions for anything, quite by chance I found the instructions for the oven in a drawer under some cooking tins. Chipped plates, not important but not good. No washing machine for clothes. Bath was quite high and difficult for one of us to get in and the shower over the bath was a bit feeble.

  • "Having read all the reviews I got the break I was expecting."

The accommodation is comfortable and clean. Just like other reviews the downside is it is a little dark and only one bathroom. But, it's so peaceful and restful and away from it all. No mobile signal so a complete rest! Sitting in the garden watching the water glisten, birds flying, boats passing was just the tonic after a stressful 5 months. The pub 2 mins walk away is great. Friendly welcome and really good food! Local Londis shop is no more than a few mins by car and was well stocked. We had a great break here.

  • "Absolutely a gorgeous place to stay nice and quite, over looking the river Severn spotlessly clean, and key hand over the simplest ever, ideal spot for visiting the local area."

Rosewater's Cottage was the ideal size, we stated out as a party of five then ended up as two due to work commitments. In the local area the nearest pub is the Hampstall Inn, up the "Ramp" turn right and walk for three minutes, the inn overlooks the river and the food is fine Tuesdays and Thursdays steak night try it. Will we visit again most certainly with no hesitation.

There were a few minor problems during our stay but these were promptly fixed by Syke’s & the caretaker of the cottage. The one let down was the bed mattress, which we think does need replacing as it was very uncomfortable. Be aware the speed bumps on the cul-de-sac are very high!

  • "The Cottage is in a quiet spot over looking the river."

We were able to spend time watching the birds and boats. The children made friends with the dog upstairs as well as the next door children and another dog in the close. The cottage is well equipped, with plenty of crockery, cutlery and saucepans, which makes a nice change. Although it was good to have a dishwasher a washing machine would have been more useful. We only stayed a few nights but the children still managed to get filthy! There are a few little things that could be sorted quickly, mainly the lighting. The cooker hob only had one light working with none under the cupboards. The cottage is very spacious, however if another bathroom could be fitted it would be even better. My parents joined us and although it wasn't a problem waiting for the bathroom four adults, one of whom is disabled plus a teenager and ten year old did mean it took a while to get out in the mornings! Thank you for the use of a lovely property in a very quiet relaxing spot.

  • "We were very disappointed, felt like we were staying in someone’s basement, not a cottage."

Windows in main living area were below upstairs decking so felt very dark. Could hear people walking about above and a very lively washing machine! Very difficult to get a consistent heating temperature. Some doors didn’t shut properly, eg, kitchen and bedroom doors. Lots of lights didn’t work. Even though towels were included there were only 3 bath towels and 3 hand towels despite it being 7 berth accommodation which were old and different shades of brown. We had to buy more towels. Smelled damp, all our clothes needed washing once home to get rid of the smell. However, it was spacious and lovely and clean, WiFi was excellent which was a lifesaver as none of us had a mobile phone signal. The television was nice and big so we could all spread out and relax. Furniture was nice. The pub & restaurant described as two minutes walk away, was indeed a short walk but when we got there it had closed down and was falling apart. We were looking forward to returning to the Cotswolds as we had been last year. This was not the Cotswolds! Had to travel 45 minutes to get to the pretty places. Stourport on Severn was not a very appealing place, most of the amusements were closed despite it being the school holidays.
