    Everything was comfortable and really well appointed for a short holiday (including a lovely welcome gift). We also loved being so close to the centre of Stratford and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre which was the purpose of our visit. Our questions were answered really quickly too before & during the stay.   • "Great cottage in a good location for the town centre."

    We really enjoyed walking along the canal into town, the canal is within a minutes walk from the cottage. The cottage is well equipped, warm, and we had no issues with parking. We used the railway station a couple of times, this is a 10 min walk away. Overall we had a good break.

  • "Fabulous christmas week at Valentines cottage ."

    Spacious cosy and quiet , very clean, comfy bed all decorated up for christmas. Everything you could possibly need real home from home. Prosseco and chocolates, box of chocolate biscuits dog bed and dog toys even christmas dinner bowl for our pooch. Few minuets walk into the town centre and parking permit for our car on the street outside.

  • "Valentine Cottage was a fabulous property."

    From the moment we stepped inside we felt at home and Sarah had kindly left us some gifts to help us settle in and enjoy the start of our holiday. Everything has been thought of in furnishing the property. A big bonus was the location and the town centre was a very short walk away. We wouldn’t hesitate in booking again in the future.

  • "The perfect place for us."

    Apart from being cosy, clean and comfortable with everything we needed and more, the cottage is also perfectly placed. The railway station is just a 5/10 minute walk, with a large supermarket right next to it to get basic supplies for the week. The town centre again just 5 minutes away with easy access to all of the Shakespeare places of interest, the local shops, numerous eateries and pubs, and the waterside and theatre. Highly recommended.

    It offered a comfortable atmosphere and excellent facilities, within easy walking distance of Stratford town centre. What truly stood out were the thoughtful touches, including dog toys and treats provided for our canine companion Minstrel. The hospitality provided by our host, Sarah, was exceptional. She was quick to respond to any inquiries and ensured our stay was comfortable and memorable. Her attention to detail and genuine care made a significant difference. We heartily recommend Valentines cottage and will certainly book another break there in the future.

  • "Lovely, well equipped cottage."

    Perfect situation for the Shakespear's attractions. We enjoyed being able to walk around the area using the tow paths accessed very close to the cottage. We arrived by train and the station was only a few minutes away and used the regular bus service to reach Leamington Spa and Warwick.

  • "The description was accurate, we were able to walk into the town centre and Shakespeare's Birthplace was only about 4 minutes away on foot."

    We drove past a large Tesco's on the main road form the M40 and just yards form the house, one visit took us through the week as there are so many restaurants all within 5-10 minutes from the house. Would recommend to anyone visiting the town or the Theatre; we will certainly return in the future - very highly recommended.

  • "This cottage is lovely and comfortable and with everything you need, we would love to come back again, it is so close to all the town has to offer just 5 to 10 minutes walk from retail park, supermarkets,the RSC theatre and river cruises which is great if you have trouble walking, you are that close you don't need to use your car all week, lots to see and do in this area, would highly recommend."

    Very clean and comfortable, the wine and chocolates etc., were an unexpected bonus. Really handy for sightseeing in Stratford, points of interest and shops a short walk away. We had a lovely Boat trip on the river. Shakespeare's House, Anne Hathaway's cottage, the Mad Museum a little light relief from History. Nice walks along the Canal. Plenty of choice of eateries. When you wanted to put your feet up, Valentines Cottage, was a relaxing place to stay, with lots of little special touches, to make your stay enjoyable.

  • "My husband and I had a lovely holiday in Valentine's Cottage in mid July."

    Unfortunately the first few days were during the heatwave which did prevent us doing our usual tour of the Cotswold villages. We were pleasantly surprised to find the owner had provided a couple of quality fans in the bedrooms which proved essential. The property was lovely and clean and had everything we required and some lovely welcome items were left for us. The owner very helpful and pleasant - on hand but not obtrusive. We would certainly be very happy to return to Valetines Cottage.

  • "Beautiful 2 bedroomed house, comfortable, spacious and very well resourced."

    Only a few minutes walk to the town centre and down to the Waterfront. The canal towpath is on the doorstep too enabling a scenic walk to the Waterfront and has a well cared for proper footpath. A parking permit allowed us to park roadside outside the house. Plenty of cafes, coffee shops, restaurants and pubs an easy walk away. We ate in the Dirty Duck at the Waterfront- which was very good . Also ate at the The One Elm which is very close to Valentines Cottage and was also good. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to stay again before too long.

The cottage is extremely well located , parking was no problem right outside the cottage using the permit provided. Valentines is a two minute walk from Stratford where there are lots of pubs and tea shops etc , lovely parks and river walks . Perfect for a quiet restful break. Would definitely recommend.

    Super clean. Very comfortable abode. A welcoming and cozy retreat after the day. Alternatively a cozy nest if you need to huddle down for a rest day. Very attractive and thoughtful decor. All bits and pieces you require in the kitchen for a quiet dinner at home. Easy walking access to the town center...walk about half a block, cross over the main road and onwards. Café eating within minutes. The host Sarah was most welcoming and easily contactable if required.

    It was a difficult time for us as we had to attend a funeral during our stay but from the moment we stepped inside...it was like getting a big consoling cuddle.Every care had been taken to make Valentines welcoming and it was full of festive cheer and festive smells from the pot poured.The Christmas tree was up and all the decorations.Even the doggie basket was festive!There were chocs and wine for us and treats for the doggies too.Most of all the cleanliness was exceptional and this was very reassuring as my husband has a compromised immune system.It was so warm,comfortable and cosy throughout.Just lovely.Plenty of croc,glasses and equipment in the kitchen too which although should be a given isn't always the case.Needless to say apart from the comfort and warmth of the cottage the location of Valentines is great.We parked the car and didn't use it again until we left.Top marks.Thank you.

  • "We loved our stay at Valentine Cottage."

    The house felt like a real home from home, we were able to relax in comfortable surroundings and despite the cold temperatures outside we were toasty warm. We enjoyed a variety of welcome treats and our host was in touch by text offering support if we needed anything. The location was perfect for our Christmas shopping weekend in late November, a short stroll from the cottage to both the Independent and High Street stores in Stratford itself and the Maybird Retail Park with its larger stores. We left the car at home walked everywhere. Stratford is a lovely town, the house is in a great location, is well equipped and included a parking permit, the host is on hand if we needed anything (which we didn't). We definitely plan on returning.

    Sarah was lovely and helpful and had organised milk and treats for us on arrival. There was even a treat + bed, blanket and teddies for the dog and it was great to find a place that allowed us to bring him along. Nice bathroom with good shower, parking permit for on street parking and Sarah only a phone call away if needed. All the Shakespeare sites, theatres, river, shopping and restaurants are within walking distance but the cottage is still in a quiet location. Lovely stay - will definitely consider again.     It was such a lovely relaxing place to stay. Beautifully decorated, a home from home. Very well thought out from kitchen equipment, reading books, games for children, a lovely welcoming area for the dog (bed and bowls!). Immaculately clean and fresh, lovely big fluffy towels provided too! Another big plus is how close to the town and main attractions it was, hadn’t realised it was literally 2minutes walk! Great to not need the car, using the permit provided we could leave it outside the property during our stay. We also found the canal was easy to access close to the property for an alternative walk to and from town. Excellent communication from the owner, checked in with us before, during and after our stay to make sure we were ok and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend staying here.

    Host left lots of little treats from wine to shortbread and even toys and treats for the dog. It was very quiet, despite being so close to town and proximity to town is another obvious advantage. Host also provided a well stocked kitchen, including washing up liquid, laundry tablets, etc. Would not hesitate to recommend. During our staycation we visited Stratford town, several times, Birmingham for shopping, Coventry for the waterworld, Tamworth for Drayton Manor and the Everyman cinema in Stratford which is amazing.

  • "What a fabulous holiday!"

    ! Valentine's Cottage was simply beautiful, so well presented with everything you'd need for an enjoyable stay. The treats were so thoughtful, even our dog wasn't left out, and there were numerous small touches throughout the house that showed Sarah and Steve really care about their guests experience. The house itself is just over the road from the town centre and about 10 minutes walk from the waters edge, with plenty of historical places, landmarks, cafes, restaurants and shops within easy reach. Even the large supermarket was less than a mile away so it was easy to stock up on essentials for our stay. The folder of information we found at the cottage was very helpful and we made use of the recommendations of places to see and places to eat. The All Fours was lovely for a Sunday roast! All in all, we had an amazing time and are truly grateful to Sarah and Steve for enabling us to have had such a perfect holiday, which was very much needed and thoroughly enjoyed!

    You are literally 2 minutes walk from Shakespeare's Birthplace in the pretty pedestrianised Henley Street with all its interesting little shops and cafes with the added bonus of street entertainment thrown in. Pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance as is the Theatre and Bancroft gardens down by the river. The cottage is furnished beautifully and is very clean and comfortable. There was only the 2 of us (and our little dog) but a family of 4 would be just as comfortable. All in all, we had a perfect Bank Holiday weekend.

    The wine and chocolates from Sarah the owner waiting for us on arrival were a lovely touch and thoroughly appreciated! Also the dog treats for our dog Daisy! The location met all our expectations as we could walk into Stratford in minutes. We had a great week, loved the cottage and Stratford as there was lots to see and do. The weather was perfect so we got to see Stratford at its best with lots going on around the river. We really enjoyed our holiday and hope to return to Valentines again as it really was home from home and met all our needs.

    It was spotlessly clean and I would be more than happy to live there myself! Sarah, the owner was extremely helpful responding to my emails and was also more than happy to speak to me over the telephone. There was a lovely bottle of wine and some chocs waiting for us on arrival as well as tea, coffe, sugar, milk and biscuits. We thought this was a really kind gesture. The cottage was also stocked with everyday essentials such as cleaning products, tin foil, kitchen roll, and some nice toiletries. The property is a five minute walk from the town centre and we didn't need to use our car at all for the duration of our stay. There were plenty of places to eat and drink as well as various supermarkets all close by. It was our first visit to Stratford-upon-Avon and we will definitely be returning to this lovely picturesque town. Valentines Cottage will be our first choice for self catering accommodation.

    Lovely gesture of bottle of wine and chocolates and milk. It was great we could take our dog. It was just nice to chill out on an evening at the end of our day. Only 5 minutes walking into Stratford-upon-Avon. Great pubs, meals. We went to the church where Shakespeare was buried. 12-2 at the moment Monday to Thursday. Different times later. Worth a visit., We also went a boat for 40 minutes. We really had a great time. Definitely go again.

    It was very close to the town, shops and the river and canal for lovely walks and sightseeing. Thank you to the very kind and welcoming owners, they made sure everything was comfortable for our stay. Would definitely book again.

    Very good information provided before our stay and during our stay meaning no need to contact the owners who were always available anyway. Beautiful cottage in a great location to allow the family to explore Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and the Cotswolds.The family had a great break.
