“It’s not a cottage it’s an annexe attaxhed to owners house.”
Meant to cater for up to 4 people yet only had a small two seater sofa so had to use a garden chair too. Fence was broken so dog couldnt go in garden alone. Couldn’t open lounge windows as full of flies.
Meant to have one allocated space for the car which on several occasions was taken by owners family/friends/plumber leaving us nowhere to park.
Meant to be dog friendly yet owners dog went for my dog as did farmers Rottweiler across the road who was often out on its own with no lead on and also went for me and my dog. Spoke to Sykes who offered us the choice of moving to another cottage nearly 2 hours away from our chosen location.

We are constantly striving to provide our customers with the best experience we can at all of our properties and from what I have read regarding this experience, we haven’t been successful.
Upon reviewing your booking and the property listing, I can see that the property is listed as being attached to the owner’s property in the opening of the description.
I have also read of the difficulties you experienced with your and the local dogs at the property of which we unfortunately cannot control due to the nature of animal’s behaviours.
With regards to the other faults that you had mentioned, we encourage all of our guests to contact us with any concerns as soon as possible in order for us and our owners to respond and rectify any issues that may be present.
On the subject of the alternative properties being offered, due to other bookings and property locations, we can only offer the nearest available, unfortunately we cannot guarantee properties closer to your location if they’re not available.
