"We had a great time at the cottage and appreciated the care taken in every detail."
Its a lovely place to stay and there was even a lovely welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, etc - very helpful. The only constructive critisium would be that it would not be suitable for anyone with bad legs, due to the stairs. Also parking can be a pain, although there is an allocated space a short walk away. I would add that we were aware of this before we booked this cottage.

"Lovely cottage, full of character."
It was well equipped with lots of additional things we hadn't expected that made it even more pleasant to stay there. It's clear that the owners really take pride in the cottage. Generally it was immaculately clean but there were a couple of items in the kitchen that needed a clean before we used them - might be worth the cleaners casting a quick eye over things in cupboards and drawers before leaving the cottage.

"Good experience except we were not told which parking bay to use before arrival and similarly we were not told which garden table of the 3 that we were meant to be using."
We had to ask the neighbours.
Many thanks for your feedback. Glad you had a pleasing experience in Malmesbury. All information is provided in the welcome book in the cottage. We will ensure that we signpost this more clearly to guests. Property Owner

"A very cute cottage great location and space mangaged very comprehensively."
We were 3 adults although sleeps 4, which might have been a little tight for bathing etc. stairs are a challenge, just need to be aware. Lovely little starter pack tea coffee chocolate biscuits longlife milk hot chocolate sugar, was very handy. Lack of parking at the property isn’t too convenient but we came by public transport. Small communal garden with table and chairs lovely. Shops very local hotel pubs etc all good. If 2/3 people I would certainly visit again.

"Though we enjoyed our stay and thought that the cottage had been beautifully maintained I could not recommend it to people of our age (74 and 81 years) and we are both very fit and active."
I should have taken more notice of your comments about the stairs. Those down to the kitchen are a nightmare and one slip could result in a major, if not fatal, accident. My husband is over 6' tall and the combination of negotiating the actual steps and bending, almost double in order not to hit his head was something of a nightmare. Especially when you have to take into consideration that food and drink have to be carried up and down those stairs. On a lighter note, the shower was not reliable and the hot water cut out on one or both of us every day, usually when we were covered in soap. It would also be helpful if folk were told exactly where the private car park was and what number bay was allocated, in the final information you send out. However, we enjoyed our stay in Malmesbury and found its citizens friendly and helpful.

"Excellent property in good location for the area."
The only down side are all the tight steps. A bit challenging for us old uns.

"We were very pleased to stay at the cottage for a week."
All the comforts are there. Including a reserved parking place nearby. It’s a lovely friendly homely place. Malmesbury is an old town with everything you need around. Pubs ,shops, supermarket. Also the public footpaths. You find your way easily to other lovely places. Within one hour drive you can visit Bath, Castle Combe, Bourton on the water etc. For unpacking your luggage it’s a bit tricky when there’s no parking place available near the cottage. But we managed well. We recommend this lovely cottage to everyone. Sure you will enjoy your stay.

"Great property, well looked after & beautifully decorated."
No major complaints + Malmesbury is a hidden gem, would go back anytime. Only slight issues Carbon monoxide detector bleeping on arrival - in end took batteries out - looked to us thst this was out of date looking ať stickers on it. Car park, would be helpful to have its postcode & description of location from cottage. Very minor issues becausr overall a supberb place to stay.

"This cottage provided a fabulous base for our stay it was comfortable and all the little details made us feel most welcomed."
The cottage was full of character and more than lived up to our expectations
-
"Corner Cottage is conveniently situated for accessing Malmsbury on foot and the property is comfortable, cosy and clean."
We appreciated the tea and biscuits etc. Just be aware it isn't suitable for people who may have a problem with steep staircases, fortunately not a problem for us.

"We had a lovely stay at your cute little cottage."
We felt very welcome.

"We enjoyed our week stay at the Corner Cottage in Malmesbury."
The cottage is well equipment, nicely decorated and like the pictures. There's some nice cafes/restaurants and shops in the village itself and plenty of places to visit nearby. The road is not very busy at night and we were happy to walk a couple of mins to the car park. I would say the top bedroom might be better suited to 1 rather than 2 adults for a week stay.

"We had a fantastic stay here - thank you so much!"
The only thing I would mention is that we tried to park the car before going into the cottage, and it was unclear where to park - it would be useful to know that it's parking lot 17 before arriving, but given how close it is this wasn't a big problem :-)

"Lovely cottage, right in the heart of Malmesbury (you can see the Abbey top from the bedroom)."
The stairs were not easy to climb so don’t try to go up or down in a rush! Only criticism is that its right on a main road which is quite noisy with people passing by the windows regularly and getting a parking space outside was impossible as other residents park there. Otherwise its a really nice house.

"This is a lovely cottage in a great location, which is beautifully decorated to compliment the original features."
It was clean, cosy and as someone else has commented, reminded us of the film "The Holiday". There was just a short walk to the allocated parking spot, if the spaces outside were not free. For people who may struggle to carry their belongings on arrival/departure; you can just park outside to drop your bags in quickly before moving the car to the parking space. There is an extraction fan in the bathroom which runs 24/7 so if you are a very light sleeper then I would recommend ear plugs. The property provided everything we needed for our seven days in Malmesbury and we would recommend it to others.
I am really pleased you enjoyed your stay at the cottage. Property Owner

"I had a lovely stay at Corner cottage while building work was taking place at my house in Malmesbury."
So while not technically a holiday, it was a real comfort to stay there during the upheaval as everything was taken care of for ease of living. I do recommend it as a vacation property also, as the town is a great place to stay with lots of attractions and amenities on your doorstep. Overall, I appreciated the comfort, cosiness and high standards of cleanliness which helped make my stay so enjoyable.
I am so pleased that the cottage enabled you a bit of time away from the building work. Hopefully it is all completed and you can enjoy the benefits! Property Owner

"Absolutely beautiful cosy cottage."
So well appointed and decorated. Spent every evening in front of the fire feeling cosy and content. A perfect gateway and just what we always want from a holiday home.
Thank you for your comments. We are really pleased you enjoyed the cottage and your holiday. Property Owner

"A lovely, quirky cottage."
I really enjoyed my stay at Corner Cottage, it is tastefully finished and well looked after. I soon got used to the narrow staircases (and I'm 6'3'') and had a very comfortable stay. It's a short walk from a nice range of shops and restaurants which kept me well fed! Parking outside the cottage is hit and miss but I used the nearby reserved parking space for most of the week. A great location for visiting places such as Westonbirt Arboretum, Tetbury, Nailsworth, Cirencester, Lacock, Castle Combe and Bath. I'll definitely return to the area and would happily stay at Corner Cottage again.

"Lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the country."
Kitchen is small but fully equipped! House immaculately clean, beds comfortable and cosy. Only downside was the stairs, which is stated in the description. We even managed to park outside a few times, but there is designated parking a few minutes walk away. We loved the deli and we frequented the ice cream shop just around the corner a few times . All in all a very enjoyable week.

"The cottage cottage is beautifully decorated and very well equipped and we very much enjoyed our stay with our very good friends."
But we had to toss for which of us got the bedroom with a door and a bed with easy access for two people, and which of us would have to clamber up the difficult stairs to the doorless bedroom, with a squashed-in bed that one of us had to clamber over to get into, and where there was nowhere to hang anything. It didn't spoil our holiday, but we thought it should have been made clearer in the description of the property that the property is for one couple sleeping comfortably plus one other in conditions more like a kitiwake on a ledge of a cliff. Also, it says in the property description that the cottage has access to a shared courtyard, but there was no key in the lock to the backdoor and there was no sense that this courtyard was something that we shared access to with the house next door. We did appreciate the care that had been taken to provide a beautiful, well-equipped holiday cottage, in a lovely town, but it is a stretch describing it as a cottage for four - we were there for four days - I don't think we could have managed a week.

"Great location."
Difficult parking but best of the available options. Lovely house, over 4 floors, cosy living room. Limited bowls. Friendly neighbours. Would stay again.
Thank you so much! We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We take pride in ensuring our guests have a lovely holiday. We hope you return soon. Property Owner

"The Cottage was very well presented."
There were a few things that I pointed out to the owner via a note left in the cottage. 1. Sheets on one bed were stained 2. Shower curtained sour smelling 3. Fan in bathroom runs 24/7 The owner has made a claim against my husband & I for damaged Duvets, which we are very disturbed about. We left the cottage as we found it. There was no damage when we left. I would not recommend this Property or Sykes Cottages to anyone.
Thank you for your feedback and we are pleased that you felt the cottage was well presented. We take pride in ensuring our guests have a fantastic experience as this is important to us. The fan in the bathroom has not been complained about previously and runs to allow ventilation. Unfortunately the sheets following your visit, were unable to be cleaned by our cleaning company. We are disappointed you would not recommend our cottage as previous guests have booked a return visit and recommended us to friends and family. Property Owner

"A very sweet little cottage, in a beautiful part of the world."
We found lots to do in the area. The cottage is well equipped and furnished - very comfortable indeed. We didn’t feel ourselves to be less mobile until we stayed here - oh my goodness! The stone steps down into the kitchen are so difficult to navigate, and the rope handrail doesn’t add to any feelings of safety. We really struggled to come up the stairs with drinks etc in our hands. The headroom Is limited too, both on the stairwell and the shower. As stated in the description, the parking in Malmesbury is a nightmare. We never once managed to park outside the cottage, and the allocated parking is quite a hike; ok normally, but trying to drag suitcases uphill on a road without a pavement wasn’t pleasant. Not the fault of the owner, but just something to bare in mind.

"Really lovely cottage in great location with good facilities."
Enjoyed the log burner especially as the weather was particularly cold this week. Bit of a problem with the bathroom light…needed switching on a few times before staying on but I’m sure this will be rectified.

"We had the most wonderful stay at Corner Cottage."
Beautiful decor, charming character, impeccably clean and all the facilities you could really ever ask for at a self-catering property (including a tin of cookies, coffee pods & even some glossy magazines to cast an eye over upon your arrival). The private parking space provided (2 min walk from property) gave us peace of mind that the car was safe. The parking space number is 17 - we parked the car before arriving at the property and luckily picked spot number 17 at random before reading it in the welcome guide. We really couldn't have asked for anything more, and despite being quite a small property, it really doesn't feel cramped in any way - it very much reminded of the film "The Holiday" with the open fire, exposed brick work and cosy interior. The town of Malmesbury itself is quite small, but we would recommend walking around the Abbey Gardens, dining at the Bird Cage Restaurant (pizzeria) & having brunch at the Summer Cafe. We also managed to visit most of the pubs that the town offers - including a drink at The Old Bell. I'm also a vegan, and found it very easy to eat out in Malmesbury - even the takout pizza house was very accommodating! If we ever find ourselves up that way again, I would 100% come back to stay at Corner Cottage. We've both spent the past few days since being back talking about how much we'd love to live in a cottage just like it! Jaz (28) & Jon (31)
