  • "Really nice little cottage, clean, equipped and well maintained."

It's on a working farm though and some of the units did get a little noisy at times.

  • "We had a lovely stay."

The unit was very well equipped, clean and nicely/tastefully presented. There are 3 things I would pick up on... For 2 larger people the bed was just too small. A kingsize would have made our stay so much nicer. A little dressing table/desk in the recess in the bedroom would have made it much easier for doing hair/make up. We had to move the lamp as there were no bedside lamps, the over head lighting is too bright for reading at bedtime. Other than that I thought the place was lovely and great value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to "smaller" people. ;)

We are glad that you had a lovely break and we will take your comments on board. Property Owner

  • "Lovely comfortable cottage and nice to have the farm cafe so close."

Great facilities in the cottage and the only suggestion would be to have some bedside lamps, rather than have the ceiling lights on. Would go back again.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Bay Tree Cottage which was was very comfortable and supplied with pretty much everything we could have needed."

A mirror in the living room would have been useful for hair drying, and maybe a few more mugs are just about the only things we could suggest as improvements. There wasn’t very much in the way of basic cooking ingredients that you often find in rented cottages, such as cooking oil etc so I was glad I’d taken everything I needed. It was a shame about the noise from the fans outside in the yard which we found a bit too noticeable. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I’d say it was just a little small for complete comfort, maybe a long weekend would have been better for us rather than a full week. A great shower and a comfortable bed though, again, a little on the small side for my 6’ 2” husband. Fine for me though!

  • "Considering this was on a working farm you would not really know."

No smells or mess. The ice cream milk and home cured burgers were lovely. The cottage beautiful. Couldn’t fault it all done to a very high standard by the owners. All the family worked in the business and were very friendly and helpful as were all the staff members. So would recommend to anyone. Also very dog friendly and they soon adopted my little dog. Who came home tired out from all the country walks ,!, again thanks to the family for making our holiday and a good property for Sykes to have on board cheers. Tony and sylvia hodgkins
