The only problem we had was the seating in the lounge. Both being elderly we found it very difficult to get up once seated especially from the sofa. Apart from that everything was first class. We were a bit worried about the stairs being steep but they were no problem at all.

  • "A lovely, clean property."

Entrance/exit onto a fairly busy road so care needed as many vehicles did not stick to the 30mph. Garden with good seating/table up fairly steep steps. Good kitchen facilities, lovely dining area. Quite small bedrooms with sloping ceilings which could be a problem for anyone over 5ft 10ins or so! Very comfortable bed, and two good bathrooms, one upstairs & one downstairs. Owner very helpful by email & text.

Hi Jane, thank you for taking the time to review The Old Carriage House, and pleased you enjoyed many aspects of the property. I would just like to point out to potential future guests that this property is located in a quiet courtyard, well set back from the road. The Old Carriage House is also a period property with period features and head height has never been commented on before. The sloping ceilings are mentioned in the property description. Great Malvern and Worcester on the door step. Cottage brilliantly organised and equipped; tastefully decorated; everything brand new - we've not stayed in a better cottage. Two bathrooms, one en suite; second bedroom quite 'compact' but perfectly adequate. Secure in little complex, set back off road; nice garden for sitting out, two parking spaces; owners very helpful. Excellent village pub, the Old Bush, and local supermarket 5 minutes drive away. Highly recommended.

With two bedrooms sleeping four guests and off-road parking for three cars, the house welcomes a group of four friends to stay for a rural escape.

Take in the picture-perfect setting of the old carriage house before settling into your home-from-home; the inside is contemporary with stylish décor to create a homely atmosphere, such as the sitting room with a cushioned sofa and armchair to sink into and catch up on your favourite show on the Smart TV.

Rustle up home-cooked meals in the spacious, light kitchen/diner, well-equipped with amenities to please the designated chef, with seating for all four guests to gather around to toast to your rural retreat.

Completing the ground floor, a minimal bathroom is a peaceful setting to relax amongst the bubbles or rinse off with a hot shower.

Unpack and unwind in one of two bedrooms at The Old Carriage House, including a double with a handy en-suite shower room, and a twin zip/link, which can be a super-king-size on request; both bedrooms have storage space and sloped ceilings for a snug setting to curl up under the sheets.

A large, rear garden invites guests to dine alfresco on the patio or spread a blanket on the lawn for a picnic in the sunshine.

Close by is a local convenience store and The Blue Bell Inn. A little further in to the heart of the village is The Old Bush Inn offering excellent home cooked food.

Situated alongside, you will find a charming cafe/deli offering good coffee, home made cakes and local artisan products - perfect for your self catering requirements.

Both are perfectly situated next to the Old Hills conservation area, which is renowned locally for its scenic walks.

Pull on your boots and take one of the many lovely walks along Three Choirs Way or Monarch's Way through the idyllic surrounding countryside.

Jump in the car and journey to Malvern, where an Outstanding Area of Natural Beauty offers popular walks and outstanding views, fuelled by the charming, 1813 hillside St Ann’s Well Café.

A short journey north of The Barn lies Worcester, a bustling city packed with history; be charmed by the gothic cathedral, soak up heritage in the city's gallery and museum or step back in time in the timer-framed, 18th-century Tudor House Museum.

Gather your friends for a splendid stay at The Old Carriage House, with the best of rural escapes and city attractions within reach.
