  • "We loved our stay at Twisted chimneys."

A beautiful place decorated to a very high standard. Waving to the passengers on the train from the comfort of our hot tub was great fun. Everything we needed was in the house. We all definitely want to stay here again.

  • "We have a lovely stay."

The property was probably the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed in. The decor was unique and quirky which added to the experience. The location of the property is amazing and we all had great fun waving at the trains from the hot tub!

What they have done with this house is absolutely stunning and needs to be seen to be believed. Top marks for cleanliness, hosting, design and as a previous guest said friendly train drivers!!

  • "The property was an absolute delight."

The rooms were excellently designed & spacious enough for my family of 4. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the essentials you need to cook with. The owners very kindly left us some tea, coffee, milk & biscuits. The sitting room area was beautifully decorated & very comfortable to sit in, it also had normal & colour changing led lights. Each bedroom was big enough for 2 doubles or twin beds & they both had 2 bedside drawers, a cupboard with hangers & a hair dryer to use. The outside patio area with the amazing hot tub was right on the train platform which was a delight to watch the trains go to & from. The bathrooms / wet rooms were gorgeous looking but they were both very small especially the sinks so it was hard for my husband to get a full wash without getting soaked. There is no bath at the property which was fine for us. The only downside I would say was the property inside was boiling hot so we had to have the windows open every time we were in the property which was fine with us. With all that said, I would definitely visit this property again as it was a delight.

  • "Twisted chimneys is exactly as it is described."

The cleanliness and standard of fixtures and fittings is excellent we met Lee on arrival who explained things to us and said if we needed anything not to hesitate to let them know we didn't need anything during our week there everything was as good as could be the whole property was lovely and warm and we wanted for nothing . The ony one thing I would suggest was to replace the crockery as several of the plates have chips in them making them unusable however this is just our point of view and not to detract from the place which is outstanding and we loved been next to the rail line and even got a toot or two from passing trains as well

  • "Stunning house, daringly but beautifully decorated."

High quality appliances throughout the house, very impressive. Various activities and sites all around the area and the trains at the backdoor can take you just about anywhere. Maybe a full double bed instead of two singles in one of the rooms.

  • "Spent a week with the girls at Twisted Chimneys."

Wow! The pictures do not do it justice. The decor and attention to detail is beyond belief. Spent every evening in the hot tub watching the trains go by which is quite surreal in itself! Friendly train driver waves and toots as he goes passed! Beds beautifully comfortable. Fantastic area for walks, eating, If you are a big party check out adjoining properties which are equally amazing as they can be made to all go through to each other and I believe would sleep 10 in total. Owners Lee and Chloe are also very lovely and helpful. Wonderful time had by all.

  • "Everything was great."

Beautifully appointed property with the quirkiness of being in the station. Grandchild loved it and got both local and GWR drivers to ‘toot their horns’ on many occasions. Hot tub top notch, far superior in model terms to others we have had. As others have said, does need an airer to be provided for wet clothes as surely they don’t want it all draped over their radiators and despite many attempts the dryer cycle on the washer dryer did not dry. We bought our own airer as encountered same issue elsewhere. Cannot recommend highly enough and in the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger…we will be back!

  • "Thanks for a fab holiday!"

It was ideal for our train mad son and even our daughter loved it (mainly for the hot tub!). It was clean and decorated to a high standard. The beds were huge and very comfy. All mod-cons and very well designed - Great for a family of 4 - very spacious. Nothing was too much of a problem for Lee and Chloe with great communication and super friendly. Lovely walks on the doorstep. Fantastic views from the Malvern Hills which is a must. Good shopping in Great Malvern. Great places to eat and so easy to travel by train. Would love to come back one day.

  • "What an enjoyable week at Twisted Chimneys."

The property is spectacular and was spotless. A very comfortable stay, with welcoming and helpful hosts. A great spot for families to stay, especially if (like our boys!) they are train mad. The hot tub was a hit with the kids and us parents alike. The area is so pretty, with plenty of amenities and things to do nearby. We would thoroughly recommend this place, and hope to be back soon. Thank you!

  • "Had an amazing week at twisted chimneys, the house is amazing ,beautifully decorated and a lot of thought and attention has gone into the house."

Lee one of the owners came to greet us as we arrived to give us information for the house and hot tub, also about the surrounding area. It’s one big house divided into 3 we had the middle one and the walls are so thick you can’t hear anyone or anything !!. The bedrooms are quite warm but the windows open fully ,but at night you need to close them as the busy road the one side and the trains the other ( trains finish around 11-30 pm and start back about 6am ) but it didn’t bother us, Lovely hot tub and it’s funny to sit there and wave to the people on the train passing through!. It says you can connect music to it but that’s been disconnected, so again this needs to be removed from the information. Could really do with a pop up airer though (could be put behind the garden furniture out of the way ) as we were there for a week ,I did do a wash and as the machine is a washer dryer thought I could get a few small things dry but I couldn’t get the dryer to work properly ?. Also an iron would be useful. The property is also advertised with an outside projector but unfortunately someone tried to steal it last year so if it’s not going to be replaced then it should be removed from the specification as we were disappointed as we thought we could watch the euro’s on it. We used the train station a lot to visit Worcester, great Malvern and Birmingham, as it’s literally on the doorstep, very convenient. Chloe the owner also sorted balloons out for me as it was my husbands 50th birthday, so nothing is to much trouble if you ask. Plenty of places to visit and some lovely restaurants near by. We visited Peppe’s Italian in great Malvern for my husbands birthday and as it was so good we went back a second time , lovely small intermittent family run Italian , well worth a visit. Would definitely return as we had an amazing week , just what we needed !!. Thankyou

  • "Twisted Chimneys is a unique characterful property furnished to a very high standard."

Fabulous interior design and attention to detail, spotlessly clean. Loved the grand lounge room and the outdoor hot tub was brilliant. It is adjacent to the Malvern Link rail line, and there are the odd trains (presumably non-passenger) which go by at night, but that’s the only ‘caveat’ to what is otherwise a superb place to stay. Great base or getting out and exploring the Malvern. Has nearby high street with good selection of eateries/takeouts/shops which was handy too. The owner was great, they popped by on arrival and as we left, it’s clear they’re passionate about the property and giving top notch service.

  • "We are just going to bullet point everything we felt about this holiday: - We felt this property was a lot of 'SHOW' for what it actually is."

    - Not as comfortable as expected from previous reviews on the website the beds were hard and the sofa's were uncomfortable after a short period of time. - Lack of facilities for drying wet towels (towels / swimming costumes) - Property feels a little 'dark' due to the lack of proper lighting down stairs the lounge and kitchen always felt so dark. - Poorly equipped in kitchen ( had to phone property owner for a tea pot ) and had to buy a kitchen tea towel when we were told they were taken away due to covid-19 but we were left BATH TOWELS! where's the sense in that since both get washed at the end of our stay ???? - Radiators were not turned on so we struggled to dry any towels or our swimming costumes for the hot tub. - Monsoon shower heads in both bathrooms, showered the floors which stayed wet due to no underfloor heating so going to the loo during the night you would have a wet floor. Also the monsoon shower head in the first bedroom requires service since it sprayed everywhere but down. - If staying on a shorter break this property would be OK at best. - Would prefer to see more railway posters for the GWR line around the property but all we got was mirrors in every room. Would of been nice since its a old station house. - We arrived and found the outside projector was not available due to someone damaging the remote and was told the owner was finding it hard to replace but when i looked i found one on ebay for £15 - One morning we went outside to find a huge amount of water coming over the upstairs balcony where the hot tub was soaking the outside where we were and we were never given a proper answer into why? - It would of been easier to fit a outside shower to soak your self down following the owners rules we found we had to rush through the property to get to the hot tub as not to damage the owners carpets. - We were baffled when 1 day before we were due to arrive we got a e-mail requesting we paid £200 security deposit or they would withhold the keys on arrival as stated on their virtual guestbook we didn't pay this and sent a e-mail back stating booking via sykes they had a £400 good housekeeping bond if anything was broken.

  • "The description of the accommodation did not fully do the cottage justice!"

The Station House is a solid impressive building positioned adjacent to Malvern Links railway station. It has been sympathetically restored and furnished by Leo and Chloe to a 5Star+standard. All of the furnishings and fittings are of the highest level/quality. for example in the kitchen the appliances are NEF. Beds are large and very comfortable. The two ensuite shower rooms are wet rooms with constant hot and powerful showers. There are TVs in all the rooms and Netfllx is available Outside there is a comfy sitting area looking on to the railway. The large hot tub was top of the range with lights and music access. But what was even more impressive than the facilities was the owner Lee who did everything possible to make our stay as memorable and comfortable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble for him and what was very reassuring was the way he came every day to check the quality of the water in the hot tub. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and there was plenty of cleaning materials available in the property. Check in has been delayed to 5pm to ensure a deep through clean between visitors. We will certainly be returning in the future.
