"Plum Tree Cottage was our home for the past week since returning from Wales."
Situated within The Lenches just a few miles from Evesham, this 2 bedroomed converted barn has everything you need for self catering accommodation.
The decor throughout the unit is stylish and as it has underfloor heating, we honestly didn't put the fire on. The views over the Dale was a gorgeous sight each time we looked out the French doors. Alas, we choose a very wet week to be here, so couldn't enjoy the outside seating.
The unit is exactly as described and true to view on the site. Communication was fantastic and the kids even made friends with next door neighbours.
Certainly recommend and look forward to booking out both cottages for a good visit with friends in the future.

"We specifically wanted somewhere quiet and rural and this was definitely delivered at Plum Tree."
The owners were incredibly accommodating, extremely helpful and keen to ensure any concerns were dealt with. The walking from the front gate is perfect for any dog owner. Highly recommend. Loved our stay here and would come back again and again.

"Great and we'll equipped cottage, isolated enough."
Away from the road. Underfloor heating is a great feature, but a bit difficult to control. Can get too hot sometimes. Ask the owner to set the temp to 21-22 degrees before you arrive, otherwise it'll be boiling inside (it was when we arrived).

"Would have been full marks across the board but the cottage was a little too warm for us and obviously well insulated as it took 3 days for the temperature to drop despite turning off all the underfloor heating."
Beautiful cottage in a lovely tranquil setting. The owners were great and when we pointed out a small issue with the bed they fixed it immediately.

"Instead of Sykes wanting free marketing information."
How about rewarding the good customer for (say) leaving the property in excellent condition? Maybe a discount on next holiday.

"We had a great stay at Plum tree cottage, a perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds."
Our stay was first class and we had a comfortable week. A couple of minor issues with the cottage, but were addressed quickly and sorted by the owner.

"Cottage was lovely and well equipped."
On arrival there was a dehumidifier in the bathroom with no explanation. After showering it became apparent, after every shower dirty water would seep through the bathroom floor. Pity the people staying after us as the smell of damp was getting worse despite window open and dehumidifier running. Felt that the owners could have popped round to explain. No contact with owners despite living next door and frequently having to come to collect escaped dog!

"The cleanliness of the living areas was ok apart from the accumulation of dust under the sofas, the significant number of cobwebs around the beams & lights, the greasy work surface around the hob and the dog hairs on some of the soft furnishings."
There was nowhere to store footwear and no way to enter the cottage in muddy boots without getting mud everywhere. The guest information folder was incomplete - instructions for operating the heating were incomplete & unclear. We were asked to put the bins out on Sunday night for collection on Monday with no indication of where to put the bins. There was only one bin liner provided for the kitchen bin, the lid of which was broken.

"The barn conversion is finished to a high standard with lots of space and good amenities."
The views outside the door are amazing and it’s extremely quiet. It’s also very warm with the underfloor heating. Dog walks just outside the door so our lab was very happy and I think he’s a bit depressed to have left now! Highly recommended

"Plum Tree cottage is stylish and comfortable."
The views are gorgeous. Plenty of crockery and cutlery. Great barbecue, providing charcoal & lighter fluid a bonus. We had a lovely week there enjoying the fantastic walks available within a short distance. As always there were a couple of small negatives. The fridge has a very small freezer section suitable only for making ice cubes. All the important areas were very clean but it was quite dusty under the bed & sofa. The previous occupants hadn’t cleaned out the wood burner ( as requested in the instructions) but as the weather was so good we didn’t use it. Think it should be on the cleaner’s checklist. These are just observations as the cottage was one of the nicest we’ve stayed in & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

"Directions to the property are not accurate and the signage is old."
Trying to find the property in the dark after a long journey, with a sign that has the *wrong name* and not facing the road is a challenge. Even the grocery delivery driver who was local couldn’t find the cottage!
The ‘Fridge freezer’ turned out to be a fridge with a small freezer compartment at the top. For Christmas week, we could just about fit a bag of ice in and not much else from the other frozen food we had.
Otherwise, a lovely stay in a well renovated barn with some nice extra touches in a very peaceful location. Great for children and our dog.
