  • "The property was clean, warm and reasonably equipped."

We enjoyed our stay, thank you. We managed fine (only two people) without a dishwasher but for the size of property the lack of one was a slight surprise. The entrance to the driveway is unnecessarily tight and it was difficult to understand why it doesn’t match the full width of the gravelled drive. I had to retract the car mirrors and still had only an inch or two spare either side to get past the entrance, which was particularly tricky after dark. It would be helpful to warn about this in the description.

  • "Very clean and comfortable, felt very much at home from the moment we stepped through the door."

Well equipped kitchen and everything we needed to cook our Christmas day lunch. A perfect base for us for visiting family nearby and for walks on the Malvern Hills. Would be happy to return again.

Dear Adrian Thank you for your kind words, it was a pleasure to hear that you had a nice time with us and you were able to enjoy Christmas day at Ridge View Malvern with your family. We would be only too pleased to welcome you back at any time. Have a fantastic 2024 Thank you Ken & Sandy Property Owner

  • "Ghastly place."

Parking on the drive was horrendously difficult, far too narrow, my car is new, I had to edge in carefully in the dark, literally 3 inches each side to spare, chap down the road helped one night. Kitchen flooded with water, so a dehumidifier was put in for the duration of my stay by the owner, did not even apologise, must have had trouble before due to the note on the cupboard door. Owner uses the bins as an excuse to gawp in lounge window unexpectedly, very awkward. No tea bags / coffee / milk / roller towel, so do what I do, bring everything you need. Couple of times the heating was turned down when I got back, his excuse for coming in was to check on the dehumidifier. Not in a nice part of Malvern at all. On check out, on time, they were circling back and forth in the car waiting for me to go, even though nobody was going in for a few days...I definitely do not recommend one bit.

Unravelling the Tales of Fantasy during Your Adventurous Stay. Dear Calantha-olivia, Greetings and a merry post-holiday season to you! We trust this email finds you still basking in the glow of festive memories. We recently read your review and, may I say, it has added an unexpected twist to our daily routine – an infusion of humour and creativity! Firstly, kudos on your vivid storytelling! The description of the kitchen flooding resembling the Severn Bore at high tide had us in stitches. We're considering rebranding it as the latest in avant-garde water features. The dehumidifier we installed, was our unsung hero, might need a cape after this heroic feat. Your account of the cleaning team circling the property like characters from a Western movie has left us scratching our heads – not in confusion, but in awe of your imagination! We're contemplating hosting a "Wild West Clean-up Rodeo" for our next team-building activity, inspired by your cinematic inspiration. Now, let's talk about the driveway adventure. We're thrilled to announce that it has inspired us to launch a new reality show, "Driveway Dilemmas," where contestants navigate our spacious drive in various vehicles, including the infamous 7.5-ton wagon that was used to lay the drive in the first place. You, dear guest, are an unwitting pioneer in driveway entertainment! As for the window-snooping allegation, we're grateful for the chance to clarify. We prefer the more conventional approach of knocking on the front door and introducing ourselves, saving guests the hassle of dustbin removal during their stay. Your acknowledgment of our multifaceted roles as owners and part-time dustbin removable engineers warm our hearts. Lastly, the coffee, tea, and milk saga has us chuckling. We're considering submitting your account to the Booker Prize Awards for fiction. In reality, we took extra care to provide not only these essentials but also some canine-friendly amenities. Poo bags and snacks for your little ones – talk about attention to detail! Maybe the phantom plumber must have stolen the tea, coffee, sugar, and milk we left for you upon arrival when he was mysteriously disconnecting the waste under the sink in order to cause the kitchen to flood. We are disappointed that you neglected to mention the alien spacecraft landing in the garden, sorry it disturbed your sleep; they had heard about the kitchen flooding incident and were as curious as we were to find out how this had happened. We sincerely hope your future travels are as eventful and filled with unexpected delights. Should you ever decide to pen your memoirs, we'd be honoured to be featured in the chapter titled "The Stay That Defied Reality." Warm regards, Property Owner

  • "Our stay at Ridge View was good."

The property is located on a quiet road, where there is good dog walking areas very close by and also a useful shop just at the other end of the road. The house is comfortable and exceptionally clean, with everything you need. The tidy small garden at the back of the house is reached through patio doors in one of the bedrooms and is completely dog proofed, even for small dogs. We felt our two dogs were very safe in the garden which is reassuring. Malvern is a very attractive town and is just a short drive away. We had a very enjoyable stay even though it was a work trip in part.

  • "Really clean and comfortable property."

The beds are super comfy and the property had everything we needed for a weeks holiday with our puppy. Handy for Malvern link train station (about 15 minutes walk). We had some lovely days out in Worcester and also handy for link common for nice dog walks as well as further afield in the beautiful Malvern hills. We walked to the lovely nags head pub across link common (well worth a visit if you like characterful old pubs and decent pub grub) and into Malvern centre although that’s a fair walk but pleasant. The property was spacious for us as two adults and a dog and would comfortably accommodate a family or two couples. Shower is good and nice secure garden for the dog to sniff around. Good location with convenient co op and Londis at the end of the road. Nice dog walk up the other end of the road around the fields. The house is in good condition and everything spotlessly clean when we arrived. I would just add that the drive is a bit narrow, we managed with a clio but I wouldn’t want to try and get an SUV up there. Having said that there is plenty of parking immediately outside the property on the road. The area feels safe and was quiet, whilst being easily walkable to the train station and Malvern link common and about 45 minutes walk into the centre of Malvern for shops and nice walks in the hills. Nice to be able to leave the car behind if you want and do everything on foot. Having said that it’s a short drive to plenty of other hill walks and we had a lovely walk from the British camp car park and a nice meal in the Malvern hills hotel. All in all a really good stay at Malvern ridge and would highly recommend.

  • "All lovely inside and it has everything you need, except nowhere to hang wet coats and wet dog towels etc ( although August it was very wet ) - ended up buying a clothes airer to hang stuff on."

If you have anything other than a small car do not attempt to park it in the drive - my car is currently getting repaired !! One strange incident - sat in the lounge and a fairly large man walked slowly by staring intently in the window, he then pulled one of the bins out, walked passed the window staring again and then a few minutes later drove slowly by staring again - little bit unnerving.

Thank you for your feedback which is a useful tool in helping us give a better holiday experience to our guests and improve our property for future guests. I am sorry you did not notice the tall cupboard in the hall with hanging rail and a tiled floor which is there to accommodate jackets/coats etc. especially if wet. We have had a number of guests with dogs and this has not been mentioned before, however a rail of sorts would be useful for dog towels and will be actioned. We have been catering for guests for quite some time now and no one has had previously mentioned any problems with the drive, so I can only apologise if this was a problem for you. I can confirm that the fairly large man attending the property was indeed myself. We do not expect our guests to have the inconvenience of having to put out waste bins, as we deem this as inappropriate and feel this is our responsibility to do so. I use this attendance to hopefully catch up with our guests and check if everything is going well with their break and are there any problems that need sorting or indeed if they have questions about the local area. Unfortunately I did not see anyone through the window and if I had I would have knocked at the front door and introduced myself. I can only apologise if you found it unnerving. Property Owner

Perfectly located for exploring The Malverns or visiting any events at Royal Three Counties Showground, plus it’s only a 10-minute walk to the train station with direct trains into Worcester. There’s a co-op store at the end of the road which is very handy.

  • "We were very pleasantly surprised with the feel good factor as we entered the property."

It was very welcoming and clean with a cosy lounge and inviting bedrooms with comfortable mattresses and plenty of soft pillows. The kitchen has a full inventory of crockery, glassware, cutlery and utensils easily enabling a family of 6 adults and 2 little ones to prepare and enjoy a family meal at a good sized dining table. The house is perfectly placed in a quiet street, close to local shops and just a short drive from the beautiful Malverns and close to other attractions. We would happily recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Good for dog owners as the small back garden is secure . There is a field & footpaths at the end of the road , which was rather muddy , however one cannot control the weather. I would advise waterproof boots. A lovely area to visit . A week was not long enough to see everything
