    There were some treats and laundry/cleaning/bathroom supplies left for us which was very useful! Everything was super clean and practical. The owner was very friendly and helpful, making some great local recommendations. The surrounding area is beautiful with walks nearby. Would definitely recommend!

Resting on the outskirts of Killeavy near Newry is this delightsome, detached house, Whitehorn House.

With exceptional views of Camlough Mountain and just a stone's throw away from Camlough Lake, this is the perfect dwelling for a family of five's countryside break.

Two convenient off-road parking spaces greet you upon arrival, before taking in those amazing views surrounding the house.

Head inside and leave your things in the handy porch, before making your way into the charming kitchen; a space fitted with everything you need to whip up mouth-watering meals, as well as a handy washing machine!

Gather your group in the dining room next door and settle down to an indulgent meal as the woodburning stove crackles away in the background.

Continue to the sitting room where a plush, corner sofa awaits with enough seats for all the family; switch on the TV and enjoy a movie night together!

When night falls, progress upstairs to discover two tastefully decorated bedrooms, one being a king-size that benefits from built-in storage and access to a walk-in wardrobe, and the other being a triple room that is ideal for the kids.

Both bedrooms enjoy access to a contemporary shower room that has been tiled floor-to-ceiling and contains a glass, walk-in shower.

The surrounding area is truly stunning and provides you with many outdoors activities to do, including embarking on a hike through the Camlough Mountains, exploring the ruins of Ballymacdermot Court Tomb, taking in the scenery at the Bernish Viewpoint, and visiting Camlough Lake for a spot of kayaking.

Venture north to Camlough where you can find your amenities, including the popular Camocha restaurant, and a well-stocked convenience store; travel a small distance from the village to discover the delights of Derrymore House and the Derrymore Woods Play Area.

Newry isn't far and is home to a fantastic selection of eateries where you can grab a tasty bite to eat, followed by a spot of retail therapy at The Quays and The Buttercrane, as well as a superb Go-Kart Track and Formula Karting for thrill seekers.
