Everything was clean and spotless, loved the wood burning stove even if we didn't get the chance to light it because it was so warm. Its a great base for touring and exploring the area and we appreciated all the tourist information that was left out for us to read through. Caroline and Trevor are very friendly and helpful hosts and always have time for a chat. Would definitely recommend staying here and would go back if we're ever in the area again.

The welcome of scones, jam, cream and milk for a cup of tea are just what you need after a long journey. The cottage is ideally placed to visit Waterford, Wexford, Kilkenny, Dublin, Wicklow, Enniscorthy all of which are gorgeous. Caroline was on hand if needed but left us to our own devices which was perfect. I highly recommend this cottage and hope to return.

A little disappointed that a small dog could get out under the small garden fence and the pictures showing the river you can not access from the cottage. Facilities to do your wash are in the cottage but no we’re to dry it. A portable airer would work.

Appreciated the homemade scones and personal welcome. WiFi was excellent. Some road noise, as to be expected, but only an issue if a light sleeper. Bed was a little unforgiving. Good base for Wexford, Waterford and Kilkenny. Ideal if you get the ferry to Rosslare. Would use again.

We live and have a letting property just outside Fishguard, Wales en route to Rosslare, Ireland and we will be recommending Rosemount Coachhouse to our guests for an onwards visit. The cottage is gorgeous. We were greeted by Caroline when we arrived with the stove lighting and scones with jam and cream on the table. Nice touch on a freezing day. Caroline and Trevor couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating. Coal and wood was left in for us at no extra cost, which we weren’t expecting at all. I would highly recommend Rosemount Coachouse and hoping to return. Mary Tony and Millie

  • "I cannot recommend staying at Rosemont Cottage highly enough."

We found it wonderful! The cottage is very well appointed and its conversion from a farm outbuilding to a bungalow holiday cottage has been done really well. We could quite happily retire there! Caroline and her family are very friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. Although the cottage is attached to the working farm, we experienced no issue with noise whatsoever. We were left to go and come as we please, help was on hand if we needed it. If WiFi is important to you (which it was for us), the speed is fine. I was able to connect to my business IT infrastructure with no problems encountered. Another bonus was the free wood for the wood burner. As for location, perfect for exploring Wexford and further afield. All in all 10 out of 10. We are definitely going to re-book next year.

The place is super cosy but still with almost every convenience we could think of and the kitchen was a delight to cook in. The friendly proprietor, Caroline, was the perfect host in that she was very easy to contact when needed but left us with complete privacy the rest of the time; and arriving late on our first night to find homemade scones on the table and a lit stove was just a lovely touch! • "The property was not up-to the usual high standards."

We never saw owner eve though they said they’d pop Saturday night or Sunday. Upon opening door we were met with large amount of blue bottles and flies, we eventually found fly spray and my husband then spent an hour cleaning them up and the dirt etc o;top of kitchen units was disgusting, he removed 4 old Christmas cards. There were dead flies in main bedroom wardrobe. The settees had large rips in them which was covered in blankets and even the edges separated the wooden floors and tiles was lifted in areas. The heating was not as expected as even when husband put it on to dry clothing the radiator were only slightly warm. The scones that had been left was nice touch tho,

I'm very sorry to hear this, I did try to drop in to say hi a few times but unfortunately you were out and about each time. It is a pity I didn't see you as I would have apologised and explained about the couch. The damage on the couch happened after one particular week of very hot weather, the sun shining in through the velux window seemed to have caused the leather to lift off. We ordered a new couch straight away, but were waiting on it to come into stock. New couch is now installed. In regard to the heating, it was set on the summer setting. We change it over to a lower setting during the summer as the house it very well insulated and can get too hot with any heating in the summer. But would have had no issue switching it over to the higher setting. In regard to your mention of blue bottles and sticky surface, the house is thoroughly cleaned after each stay and during changeover on the day of your arrival I don't have any recollection of a vast amount of flies. But I do apologize if you found otherwise. Property Owner

  • "Rosemount Coach House was a wonderful setting for the stay in Southern Ireland."

You will need a car, but there is off road parking in a safe area. The family are onsite for any issues that arise and the lovely cakes and house tour at the start were a nice touch. It is a working farm, but to be honest it was very light farm traffic. Doris the donkey is on hand and likes a bit of fuss over the gate nearby the house. There is a pub down the road which has a lovely reasonable menu and welcoming vibe, even though the walk is a few hundred meters on a grass verge along side a fairly busy road. Overall the cottage was lovely, spacious enough to live and cosy enough to feel like a home. A log fire is on hand for winter nights, but there is oil heating as well if needed. Tescos is about 15 minute drive in Gorey and is a good size. It is about an hour and half from Dublin. Would suggest to use the Carrickmines Park and Ride tram if going for a day out, takes the stress away from driving in central Dublin! Roads are quiet in the South. We had a Ford Focus which was a good size for the roads. Enjoy!

  • "This was a most pleasant stay - neat, clean and comfortable."

The owners went the extra mile to make our stay memorable, which started with a welcoming basket of fresh farm eggs, homebaked scones and tea. Wooden logs and household coal was offered to us for the solid fuel stove burner, but I had my own supply which was purchased for my stay at the previous cottage. Not wanting a repeat of my previous bad experience regarding the use of the oil fired central heating, I enquired about the usage and costs thereof, which surprised the owner as this is part of the accommodation package. I have only praise and admiration for the owners of this family run business.
