  • "This property looked and sounded good on the advertising material and it proved to be even better."

    It was great! The welcome from the owners was fantastic. Any facilities that were not included in your house/apartment was found elsewhere - laundry, games room, etc. The views were great, and for those who like walking, there were short walks on the property to extended ones in the surrounding country side. A quiet haven to stay yet within short car journeys to larger towns where you could enjoy the pubs and restaurants and other tourist attractions. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! You don't have to take my word for it. Go see it for yourselves! You won't be disappointed.

    They were eager to provide whatever we needed and they were always on hand and always stopped for a friendly chat and to ask if everything was OK. The surround countryside is beautiful and the whole area very peaceful and relaxing.

  • "The cottage had mould on bathroom tiles and roof the heat was not working in certain rooms with leak at boiler near electric sockets."

    The whole place needs upgraded and new toilets and shower units. quite location but cold at night due to poor heating. Regards. James Irwin.

    The views were spectacular with all the comforts of home, including free laundry access. Donal the Owner was just wonderful, and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He was so helpful with information and made sure we had all the information we needed to get to where we were going each day. What a delight it was to stay at this lovely place. The property

This spacious open-plan accommodation is wrapped in beautiful views of Wicklow and Wexford hills, close to the village of Shillelagh, appreciated for its seventeenth century architecture.

The interior of Byre features a living area with a leather sofa and dining table for six people, where you and your loved ones can relax in pure comfort each day, amidst the natural light which sweeps in through the collection of windows.

The classic shower room boasts high quality fittings, and two bedrooms promise a wonderful night's sleep after an eventful outing.

Minmore Mews

This group of cottages makes a wonderful holiday experience, whether you are wanting to simply relax away from the hustle and bustle, or explore the local area and beyond. With views over the Wicklow and Wexford hills, the beautiful landscapes can be admired from the comfort of the accommodation, or you can wander outside to experience the six acres of garden first-hand. The village of Shillelagh in County Wicklow is a seventeenth century 'planned estate' village, with appealing architecture including attractive terraced cottages and a courthouse with clock tower. The Shillelagh stick, a well-crafted blackthorne stick originally used as a fighting weapon but now often used as an ornamental or walking stick, originated just outside the village, and visitors can visit workshops to watch local craftsmen continuing to produce this piece of Wicklow history. For walkers, the Wicklow Way runs past the village, and the nearby Tomnafinnoge Oak Wood, one of the largest remaining oak woods in Ireland, makes a lovely spot for an autumn stroll. Coolattin Golf Club is just outside the village, while slightly further afield, the Wicklow Mountains, city of Dublin, and 'Ballykissangel' village of Avoca make superb destinations for an enjoyable day trip. The nearest beach and harbour is a 35 minute drive away at the seaside holiday resort of Courtown. Slightly further afield, you can enjoy the Blue Flag, world-class white sandy beaches at Brittan Bay (45 minutes) and Curraghclose (50 minutes). Both are well worth visiting, whatever the weather.
