  • "Very nice stay at Cleary cottage."

Mary was very welcoming & couldn’t do enough to help us settle in. Will be back!

  • "We had a fabulous week in Spanish Point and Cleary Cottage is very accommodating."

It’s within walking distance of the beach, Miltown Malby and Spanish Point. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the sitting room has sufficient seating for 8/9 people. Spanish Point is one of our favourite area to stay so I know we’ll be back. Mary is a super hose too and nothing was too much trouble for her.

  • "A good house for a large party."

Close to Spanish Point beach and Milton Malby town where there is a very convenient supermarket. A great base for the West Coast, the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher.

  • "We'd like to thank Mary for having us at Cleary cottage for the last 2 weeks."

A lovely cottage which the 6 of us (4 adults & 2 dogs) thoroughly enjoyed- A large fully enclosed garden which runs all around the cottage. A 2 minute drive or 10-15 minute walk down to the beach. Less than a 5 minute car ride or a 25 minute or so walk into Miltown with it's pubs, restuarants, shops & supermarket. Close to plenty of interesting places with Galway city, Dunguaire castle at Kinvarra, Bunratty folk park, Coole park at Gort & the Cliffs of Moher all within an hours drive. We will definitely be booking Cleary cottage again. Richard & Donna Sweetnam.

  • "Mary was a very kind and generous host."

Complimentary tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were a really sweet thought. The house is in a perfect location. Everything worked well. Very suitable for a family - we stayed with two small children. Ten minute walk along footpaths to beach at Spanish point. Easy walk to Miltown Malbay and all it’s amenities - live music in the pubs, restos, pharmacies and supermarkets. Would highly recommend.

  • "The cottage was clean, warm and extremely comfortable."

Lovely garden with a sunny place to sit and views from the side garden towards the sea at Spanish Point. Mary, the owner, was friendly and welcoming but not intrusive in any way. We would definitely stay again if we needed accommodation in that area.

  • "Great location and it felt like home."

The furnishings were very comfortable; we loved the Living Room & Kitchen. The shower doors did not open very much, and we’re quite a narrow entry for those with leg problems. The showers did have nice pressure, though. The wardrobe units in the bedrooms were very nice. Our host was very attentive and concerned that we were happy.

  • "We felt the facilities in the house were a bit lacking."

There was only one bottle of hand sanitizer in a house able to accommodate 8. We couldn't find a tea towel or oven gloves and there was not enough toilet paper to last us for the week we had booked. Having said that, the owner, Mary, was very welcoming and got the WiFi working again promptly when it stopped working shortly after we arrived.

  • "Super spacious house, we celebrated our parties with no worries for distancing ~ Huge gardens, both back and front."

Off road parking. Kids are safe here in this house. The house is set way back from the road. Gates provided also. The beach is just a walk or 2 minute drive away.. Mary the owner is a lovely welcoming lady, she came to make sure all the thrash was removed for bin collection, even offered to take all the bottles to the bottle bank.. We did this ourselves, but thank you for offering Mary.. I regret i didn't get to see you before we left to thank you personally, so i will just bring this to your attention.. The cutlery drawer in the dishwasher needs to be renewed. There are holes in the base of same where the cutlery drops through, making it difficult to roll the base back in.. This is not a complaint, as the whole house is perfect.. But highlighting the damage to your dish washer if not replaced.. We most certainly book again..
