The cottage is situated in the countryside, surrounded by farmland with grazing animals and the owners live on site and are only too happy to share their extensive knowledge of County Clare with their guests.
The cottage is a wonderful holiday retreat for couples, with one double bedroom and a shower room, plus an open plan living area with kitchen, a dining area for two and a sitting area with an open fire.
After walking all day, you can sit out in the garden to the front of the cottage and share a bottle of wine, or curl up together by the fire when the weather is chilly.
The large garden at the front of the cottage is shared, and there is also a shared garden and orchard at the back where you can collect apples.
Although Garden View is in County Clare, a 20-minute ferry trip across the Shannon Estuary from Killimer means it is also a wonderful holiday destination or those interested in uncovering the delights of County Kerry too.
Europe’s largest pod of bottlenose dolphins call the estuary home and you can take boat trips out onto the water to try and catch a glimpse of them!
Across the estuary, play the Ballybunion links course and enjoy glorious views of the sea and the town’s sandy beach.
The course is rated one of the world’s top courses and will certainly make golf enthusiasts swoon!
Spend a day on the beautiful, Blue Flag beach at Kilkee, with a picnic and a paddle in the sea.
Drive the coastal route around the Loop Head Peninsula, and enjoy soaking up the stunning ocean vistas from its well-known lighthouse.

Kilmurry McMahon is a rural, farm-based community situated seven miles from the town of Kilrush. It has two shops, a school, petrol station, Post Office and a church. There are two pubs in the parish. Kilmurry McMahon offers visitors a real glimpse into rural, West Clare life. The coastal town of Kilrush is located near the mouth of the River Shannon in the south-west of County Clare. An historic town, one of the listed Heritage Towns of Ireland, Kilrush was once an important Shannon port and is today home to a modern Marina and Heritage Centre.
