There's plenty to do locally too, from a stroll to the Cascades waterfalls along the River Cullenagh in Ennistymon, to surfing in Lahinch, which also offers kitesurfing and windsurfing, plus Kilfenora is three miles away and is well known for the Burren Centre and Father Ted's house.

Golfers at this Clare cottage will enjoy Lahinch Golf Club, home to the South of Ireland Championship and often described as the 'St Andrews' of Ireland.
