    The two bedroom, two bath was perfect for the four of us. Irene and Brendan were welcoming and gracious. The location was very convenient and charming. I would without hesitation recommend a stay at Rose Cottage. It was a superb base to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of County Clare and the Wild Atlantic Way coastline.

The property

This enticing, detached cottage, Rose Cottage rests in Monanagh, near Ennistymon, County Clare.

Ideal for a family stay (4/5 guests) with a penchant for the outdoors, Rose Cottage is set on a small working farm and enjoys truly delightful views of the countryside.

The property enjoys plenty of off-road parking, ensuring a stress-free arrival before taking in the lovely, rural vista.

Head inside to be welcomed by a living/dining room which offers everything you need for a memorable self-catered stay.

This room boasts a sitting area with a double corner sofa, oil-fired stove, TV, and a dining area with a table for six.

Move through the property to find the pleasant fully equal kitchen, which has a dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave, and hob.

As the day draws to a close, choose one of the two marvellous double bedrooms to retire to, the first of which has access to both an en-suite shower room and a walk-in wardrobe, so you can get ready for the day in style, whilst the other features handy storage and hanging space for your belongings!

On sunny days, make your way outside to the rear enclosed patio area, where you can soak up your peaceful surroundings with a cold beverage in hand.

Venture to Ennistymon, a market town that not only boasts a range of amenities but is home to the breath-taking Ennistymon Cascades, which can be marvelled at during a riverside walk.

Spend some time in Lahinch, a seaside resort that features a stunning beach & championship Golf Course.

Take a short drive to the iconic Cliffs of Moher from where the beauty Aran islands and the fishing village of Doolin can be viewed.

From Doolin you can take a short boat trip to the world-famous Aran Islands.

Travel inland to Ennis, the county town of Co.Clare, and is where the delights of Ennis Friary's ruins and Clare Abbey, along with the fascinating Clare Museum.

Burren National Park also isn't far and is home to a wealth of glorious sights and outdoor activities, be sure to check it out!

ENNISTYMON, COUNTY CLARE

Lahinch 2 miles; Ennis 16 miles; Burren National Park 13 miles.

The market town of Ennistymon is situated by a beautiful river, on the edge of The Burren in County Clare. The town is renowned for the cascades, which pass over the river, and a walk to the top of Church Hill to view the breathtaking surrounding scenery is essential. Craft shops with traditional fronts, fine restaurants, pubs with Irish music, plus a food and craft fair held on Saturdays, mean that there is something for everyone in this delightful town. Close to Ennistymon is O'Brien Castle, which dates back to 1588, and the beautiful seaside resort of Lahinch is just two miles away, with a golden Blue Flag sandy beach that is ideal for building sandcastles and swimming. Lahinch is famous for surfing, sea kayaking and outdoor sports, and also has a world-renowned golf course and a large play park for children. The stunning Cliffs of Moher, nominated as one of the seven wonders of the world, are also close by. You can follow the Wild Atlantic Way along the cliffs and see the Aran Islands in the distance, catch a ferry there from Doolin, or enjoy a walk along The Burren Way. Ennistymon is a superb base from which to explore the area.
