  • "The only downside to my week in Sea Park Cottage was that I did not receive a call to say there had been a cancellation and I could stay for a second week!"

The owner was extremely friendly and helpful and showed me a shortcut to the town which took less than five minutes. My border collie loved the enclosed back lawn. Anything you could possibly need was supplied and I will definitely stay there again if there is ever a vacancy!

  • "Location is brilliant."

House has pretty much everything you would need. It’s a bit tired looking around the edges but doesn’t bother us in the least. Check in and out is extremely easy and hassle free. Will definitely be back.

  • "Location was advertised as having WiFi but did not."

We had a problem with the fireplace which was resolved but instructions should have been provided. All in all, the property is very well kept, well equipped and in a great location and we would certainly return and recommend it as a great location for exploring west Clare.

  • "We had a great week in Lahinch."

The house was clean, spacious and very convenient. We were part of a large family group staying at 5 different houses in the Lahinch area and all agreed that ours was the best. The owner, Eugene, was very accommodating and we would be very happy to return. (Also, our dog enjoyed the large secure grass area to the rear)

  • "I was overcharged for the booking and could not make contact with Sykes cottages despite phone calls to UK, being left waiting for 15 minutes and emailing the company."

It was extremely stressful and frustratating. The booking was made through Booking.com and yet Sykes Cottages jumped in and completely made a mess of the details. I received no reply to any of my emails begging them to ring me. Just before we arrived, they sent an email stating they were refunding the overpayment withdrawn from my account and still no phone call. Eventually the landlord contacted me the day we were due to arrive and knew nothing about my efforts to contact the company. The house is lovely and the landlord couldn't have been more helpful. Sykes Cottages were a disaster, in my opinion and should be avoided.
