About the location

Kilkee 13 miles; Kilrush 21 miles; Miltown Malbay 21 miles.

With heart-stopping views and panoramic seascapes, Kilbaha is the last village on the peninsula of Loop Head in County Clare. The village also boasts views of Kerry Head and the Brandon mountains in the distance. Kilbaha nestles in a western bay on the Shannon Estuary and boasts a picturesque pier which dates back to the 19th century. The pier was built to cater for the floods of fishermen, and seaweed gatherers, and to help the navigation of the large ships that were making their way up the Shannon River to the docks in County Limerick. Supplies to the Loop Head lighthouse were also brought in from the large cargo vessels. The village of Kilbaha and the Loop Head Peninsula offer some of Ireland’s most stunning drives and breathtaking views. The friendly seaside village of Kilkee is also a short drive away, definitely worth a visit!
