The home was so comfortable, warm and cozy. It felt good coming back to it after a day of exploring. And the conservatory was a lovely space to relax in, beautiful country view with water in the distance. A quiet restful 3 nights for us.

  • "The property was probably the best we have stayed in, anywhere!"

It was beautifully decorated, furnished and spotless. The welcome pack was most generous, and the owners were discreetly available and helpful, without intrusion. The view from the conservatory was wonderful, as was the comfort of the bed. The duvet was of the highest quality - very warm but exceptionally light. We would love to stay there again in future and would recommend the property without hesitation..

Beautiful views from sun lounge. Hosts were lovely and welcoming, on hand as they live next door but left us to ourselves. Everything provided: super soft towels, kitchen staples, house book full of info.

The owners are super friendly and are there should you need them. They left a fantastic welcome basket which was so appreciated as we arrived late at night. The cottage is in a great location. It lives up to its name. A perfect sea view hideaway but close to all the favourite spots, like Lahinch and Moher . Thanks for a great stay. Xx

Spotlessly clean, really comfortable place. Lovely quiet rural location, yet less than 10 mins to some great towns. House equipped to a really high standard with good quality items. From bedding to the kitchen, the house had absolutely everything and the welcome package was a treat! It is clear that the host Bernie goes above and beyond to look after her guests. Excellent value for money and would highly reommend.

It was so clean and comfortable. We were short of nothing it was so well equipped apart from maybe another TV in the sun room where more people could have watched it together on the comfortable couches. The hamper was amazing. The owners think of everything to make it special.

  • "We had the most wonderful week in Clare staying at Seaview Hideaway."

The house is about 10 mins from Lahinch up a country road. Ennistymon (has a Supervalue) is around the same distance. The house was extremely comfortable and was well appointed with good quality finishings. The location was good and was an ideal base for us when exploring the Burren, Lahinch, Spanish Point, and the other coastal towns there. Doolin is only 30 mins away if you want to go to Inis Mor which we did and stayed overnight - highly recommend that too. The owners of Seaview Hideaway live next door and were on hand for anything that we needed but were mindful of giving us freedom and space to enjoy our time there. They even sought out a football for our boys when we asked if they could have a kick-about in the field. Such lovely people. In the evening from the sunroom, we saw some beautiful sunsets with peachy mauve skies and the twinkling lights of the coast in the distance. We were delighted we found this house and have brought home happy memories from Clare. We will be back !

I stayed here for three weeks with two of my friends; each of us had a spacious bed to ourselves. The three of us love to cook and this house had perfectly equipped kitchen which made it easy to cook meals. If in case you would like to take an extended staycation, the WiFi was strong enough for the three of us to all be on Facetime/Zoom calls so you can easily "work from home" here. This is the ideal place for a peaceful countryside escape. The hosts are wonderful people as well - very accommodating and checked in on us frequently to ensure that we had everything we needed. We loved our stay at this Sea View Hideaway and will look to come again in the future!

  • "This is a fantastic cottage in a great location."

Peaceful and cosy, it has superb views across the fields to the bay at Lahinch and the Cliffs of Moher in the distance. It was a home-away-from-home, and from it, we were able to explore the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher, the beaches at Lahinch, Spanish Point and White Strand. It's also handy for the ferry to the Aran Islands and the picturesque villages nearby, such as Ennistymon, Miltown Malbay and Corofin and the delightful little town of Ennis. The children enjoyed watching the cows on the farm, and also cycling around the local, quiet lanes. Michael and Bernie are amazing hosts. They are warm, friendly and incredibly welcoming. They provided us with a lovely welcome pack full of goodies for us and the children, and Michael went out of his way to give us lots of useful information about the surrounding area and what it had to offer. We were all very sad to leave, and are already looking forward to going back in the future.

The property

A traditional semi-detached cottage on the outskirts of one of County Clare’s musical and cultural homes, Lahinch, surrounded by rolling hills and affording views of the sea on the horizon.

On entering, you are presented with the three bedrooms, all spacious double rooms, neatly decorated with charming curtains and bed-spreads, with a well-positioned bathroom containing a shower down the hall.

In the colder months, you will be excited to use the woodburning stove, which you will find in the centre of the open-plan living area, which contains the kitchen, sitting area and dining table.

The wall-mounted TV sits in the corner, making it easy for all the family to spend time together while the food is prepared.

You will then come to your favourite room of them all; the beautiful sitting room with wraparound windows that bring the natural light in and overlook views of the endless green landscape, with the ocean in the distance.

In the warmer months you can take the kids outside and play in the garden, with its large lawned area surrounding the property, or just pop a picnic blanket down and enjoy lunch outside.

Take a trip into Miltown Malbay and you can enjoy its selection of pubs and eateries, some of which like Friel’s Pub that date back to 1895, hosting live music every weekend and some weekdays in the summer.

When the seaside is calling you, head over to Spanish Point, a very scenic sandy beach, named so because of the Spaniards who were buried there after the wreck of their Armada ships along the coast in 1588.

If it’s not enough to just see the shores, you can head over to the fishing village of Quilty where you can hire a currach and visit the site of the wreck, and then spend the rest of the day trying your hand at throwing a line or two.

This location is fantastic for getting to know the west coast of Ireland, and this holiday home is everything you need to feel right at home with your loved ones.
