Inside you’ll find a large kitchen with a dining area, the ideal social space for a hearty Irish breakfast before you set off on a day of adventures.

The three bedrooms comprise of a double, a family room with a double and a single and a bedroom with a set of adult bunks.

There’s also a sitting room with a warming open fire to retire to and relax whilst discussing the day’s adventures.

Outside, guests will find a lawned garden to the front of the cottage where you can enjoy a refreshing drink whilst watching the children play, and for sun-worshippers, the rear gravel area is an excellent place for soaking up the rays on a summer’s afternoon.

Beside the house there’s a lovely spot for trout fishing and the surrounding area offers many attractions to delight in.

Coole Park and Gardens are just six miles from the cottage, where you can enjoy relaxing woodland walks and see the tree famously-autographed by poet W B Yeats.

Alternatively, hop in the car and an eight mile drive will take you to Loughrea, a bustling town filled to the brim with shops, pubs and restaurants for you to explore, as well as many sights to discover, including a cathedral and Clonfert Diocese Museum.

An unmissable day out can most certainly be had at the majestic Cliffs of Moher, Ireland’s most visited tourist attraction, whilst all the thrills of the city of Galway are reachable in less than an hour’s drive.

With all this and more just waiting to be discovered, this homely property is an ideal base for an Emerald Isle adventure.

Kilchreest is a lovely village in County Galway and benefits from a local pub serving food and a local convenience store. Kilchreest was an important area for agriculture, trade and craft industries during the 19th century. Today visitors to the area can visit the beautiful Cloghan Castle which can be seen just outside of the village. There is also the Woodville Walled Garden which is set alongside a museum outlining the fascinating history of the Woodville home and the integral part the garden played, providing the house with flowers, fruit and vegetables. The nearby town of Loughrea is a fantastic family destination, with a free children’s park, tennis courts and an angling club, the town also benefits from a purpose-built walking area and the Long Point recreation area which is perfect for picnics, barbecues, soaking up the sun and swimming. Loughrea also features three golf clubs, a pet farm with an indoor/outdoor recreation area and cafe and also a horse riding museum dedicated to the Connemara Pony. This is a fantastic area, with so much to offer all visitors.
