A warm friendly welcome from the owner who gave us plenty of useful tips for touring the area. She also checked on us mid-stay to see if we were ok. The accommodation was spotless and very spacious. Located on the banks of the Scarriff River near the centre of the pleasant village of Scarriff in County Clare, is this group of two delightful holiday cottages. There is a championship golf course at nearby East Clare and the waters of Lough Derg are just a few minutes’ drive away offering a whole range of watersports including sailing, canoeing, kitesurfing, and wakeboarding. The town of Scarriff offers a range of amenities, from traditional Irish pubs with live music to restaurants and a harbour. Scarriff, in County Clare, is a large village located on the banks of Lough Derg. Situated near the shore of Scarriff Bay, one of the prettiest parts of Lough Derg, and surrounded by lakelands, Scarriff is renowned for its great angling resources. The East Clare Golf Course is a few miles away, while the East Clare Way, a designated walking route, is also nearby. The village of Killaloe is only 12 miles away, and provides great hill walking, boating, watersports and fishing. Lahinch is within easy driving distance, and provides great surfing, fantastic golf and a beautiful stretch of sandy beach to enjoy. A little further afield lie the Cliffs of Moher; one of Ireland's most visited tourist attractions, the Cliffs of Moher offer stunning coastal walks overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and from the top they boast views out to the Aran Islands and Galway Bay.
