Situated in the townland of Trafrask in County Cork, this semi-detached cottage is a short drive from the village of Adrigole on the Beara Peninsula.
The cottage is situated in a lawned garden with charming views of the coast, and a five minute walk brings you to the sea, where you can enjoy beautiful views across to Trefask Bog, a Natural Heritage Area, and the Sheep’s Head Peninsula beyond.
A small kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area are found in a long open plan living space, with a door leading outside and a pool table on the other side of the staircase with a second TV, a DVD player and children’s books.
Lots of windows fill the room with light, making it a wonderful spot for everyone to gather after a day out, prepare dinner and relax, or plan tomorrow’s activities.
There are three bedrooms, two twin rooms and one double room, so the cottage is great for groups of friends and families.
The double room and one of the twin rooms are on the ground floor, plus a wet room-style shower room, so it could prove a good choice for those with limited mobility.
Outside, the garden to the front of the cottage is lawned, with views of the water and a table and chairs on a paved area.
Adrigole has a small collection of pubs, along with a sailing centre and, set on the Wild Atlantic Way, lots of walking and cycle routes in the surrounding area to suit all abilities.
For the more experienced climbers looking for a challenge, Hungry Hill is the largest mountain in the Caha range, and just north of the village.
Several golf courses can be found within 10 miles of Adrigole and there are lots of fishing opportunities up and down the coastline.
Explore the Beara Way, take Ireland’s only cable car to Dursey Island, or visit the towns of Bantry, Glengarriff and Kenmare.
Bantry Bay is beautiful and at its head, the town of Bantry is definitely worth a visit.
Explore the town’s pretty streets, peruse the busy market that takes place every Friday in the town square, and visit Bantry House and Gardens overlooking the bay.
