  • "Usually it's all about the house but this time it was all about the location and surroundings."

The house is on a working farm in a valley over the mountains next to a tidal river. The views were amazing, the animals were a delight and the night sky incredible. It was so peaceful and we truely felt close to nature , we left feeling recharged and content. Highly recommended.

Willi, the owner, is a true gent and very accommodating. If you're into hiking, try The Vee. Also, had a great day at Fota Wildlife Park. We would book again

Comfortable lounge area, sadly no incidental lighting, but we were able to use a table lamp from the 2nd bedroom. The kitchen would benifit from a caserole dish and a measuring jug. We had a great week and would return!

Helpful and affable. Everything was as expected the area was exceptional in its variety and beauty with a.very exciting horse fair.where l could relive my childhood. I admit the wonderful sunshine helped vastly. One small suggestion for the host. The yard is perfect to play boules . Maybe he should invest in a set Just a thought.

  • "No TV in either bedroom: only 1TV in property, not 3 as stated."

No games as stated. Furniture, fittings and equipment generally not in very good condition: much in need of replacement. Shower needs urgent attention as it produces scalding hot water if turned off then on again within a few minutes. Fridge needs defrosting and 2 of the shelves in the fridge door are missing. Quiet location and lovely views across the valley.

The cottage is bright and the views through the large windows are beautiful. Everything we needed was there. The owner was very friendly and gave lots of helpful recommendations. The wifi worked very well and the heating as well as the fireplace made the place cozy despite cold temperatures outside in November. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back!

The owner (Willy) makes you feel so welcome, nothing too much trouble. Beautiful cottage in amazing location, with view to die for. Stunning views all around the Cottage. Very comfortable cottage with everything you would wish for including an open fire, Thanks to the owner, for the wood supplied for our fire. Plenty of beautiful places around the area to visit, local shop and good places to eat near by in Tallow and LIsmore. The Bakers Table in LIsmore was great for Brunch and the Latch in Tallow, very good good and friendly service. Loved Rosey the Donkey, loved her carrots, and the black cat, which we named magic, made our holiday complete. Will be back. Thanks again to the owner for make our stay so enjoyable. Willie the owner was very helpful and kind and made sure we had everything we needed. It was so peaceful and the view was stunning, especially in the morning with the mist rising from the river shrouding the valley and creating a magical picture of rural tranquility. It was lovely to be back in Ireland to visit relatives and also to visit new places. Lismore is pretty and Cobh is well worth a visit. Thanks again for a lovely holiday.

The kids just loved the Donkey and the Cat. What I would suggest is that the mattress on all beds be changed, they were very uncomfortable. Other than that it was a lovely house :)

  • "The Granary is a very comfortable cottage with superb long views over the countryside."

It is down a long twisting lane well off the road so very safe for a dog. There are sheep, cattle and a donkey in the field in front. You could just chill out in front of the open log/coal fire or visit nearby historic Lismore with it’s Castle which is owned by the Duke of Devonshire. The extensive gardens are open to the public. Take a drive through the nearby mountains or travel a little further to the coast with it’s beaches and copper coast cliffs.
