  • "The house was a very lovely place to stay."

It's only a short drive from Bantry which has a lot of pubs and restaurants, as well as a Lidl. The accommodation included wifi which was fast and reliable, allowing us to plan activities during our stay. The area around was very scenic, there was a walking route around the area too. The local taxi's were very friendly and knew the location for ease of pick up from the house. It's a lovely place and I would recommend staying again.

  • "Our second visit to Riverview and we loved it as much as last our last one."

Amazing location that makes you feel you are in the middle of nowhere but actually only 5 minutes away from everything you need. The cottage is spacious, well equipped with essentials and clean - highly recommend.

  • "Lovely break in a great location for exploring the Beara area and Bantry surrounds."

There are great walks nearby to the house. The house was very comfortable, clean, and cosy and the standard of the house was much better than we had anticipated. Would highly recommend as a great base for exploring this part of Cork.

  • "This is a great house for a large or multiple family group."

Four double bedrooms all with ensuites and a single bedroom. All great size rooms. Very spacious, bright and airy. Well equipped kitchen and utility with wm and dryer. Fridge and freezer are both undercounter. Dish washer was handy. Lots of cupboard space. We couldn't get the hot water boiler to work, but showers were electric so just boiled the kettle for any washing up. Informed the owner at the end of the holiday. No garden furniture provided which was a bit disappointing but we had our camping chairs so managed fine. Grounds are excellently maintained. Location is beautiful with lots of country lanes to walk and approx 2km drive to Ballylickey. There's a 5km loop hike located around the corner from the house with great views over the bay. Great for cycling but take note, the traffic is not heavy, but the locals drive very fast down these country roads so extra care needed. Especially with children. No sandy beaches in the area but local swimming and kayaking areas located at Bantry ballylickey and Glengarrif (Blue Pool). The best beach is Barleycove approx 50mins drive. Great jumping off point though for seeing the best West Cork has to offer. Beautiful golf course in Glengarrif. Views are amazing. Jacks gastro pub was great for seafood. Other nice eateries but only ate out once locally.

  • "This is a great house, plenty of space inside and out for 9 adults and 2 children."

The kitchen is big and cosy with a wood burning stove. A great space to gather in the evening. There is an open fire in the living room. The mobile phone signal is very weak at this property but the WiFi is very good. The bedrooms are a good size. They are certainly big enough to have a family bedroom (a double and a single) which we would have benefited from but all rooms have only 1 bed. In total there are 4 double beds and 1 single bed at this property. We spent 7 nights here at the end of August 2020. We are 3 generations ranging from 59 year old to a 10 month old. It is an 8 minute drive to Bantry Bay and and 8 minute drive to Glengariff in the other direction. This is a great base for touring the ring of Kerry and Killarney. I would recommend this house for families.

  • "This lovely house was well kept, homely and the garden was very well maintained."

The house was tucked away under the beautiful mountains including The Priest's Leap and was central to all the west cork peninsulas of Crookhaven Peninaula, Sheeps Head and The Beara Peninsula. We toured the peninsulas on the dry sunny days and went to nearby Glengarriff/Ballylickey on the showery days when the sun was out. Loads to do there including a trip to Garnish Island, The Ewe Experience, Quills Woollen Market and onto Molly Gallivan's in Bonane. The house was comfortable and spacious for our large family and the wifi and Smart TV were wonderful bonuses.

  • "Really enjoyed the stay!"

The house is big with ample of space. We were two families with a total of 9 people and you could have fit in more. Overall, the house is in good repair and clean with a nice garden around it. There are even proper hiking trails and walks accessible right from there! There is absolutely no mobile phone reception in that spot which can be a blessing and a curse. The internet did work reliable however. I would have only one wish, that the kitchen would be furnished a bit better. We had for example only 6 breakfast bowls between the 9 of us and glasses were a similar issue. There is plenty of cutlery though. Access to amenities in the area is great too (Bantry and Glengarriff are only about 10 min away). Overall a really enjoyable stay! Thanks.
