  • "Everything was excellent."

It is a truly wonderful property and the location is fabulous. The provisions were generous and thoughtful, lasting us the week. We know that the owners are sorting out a fob key for the main gate (lost by a former occupant) so that it is easier to walk in and out without bothering the owner. Highly recommended property.

It was clean, comfortable, and very well equipped but most importantly the setting of the property is extremely private and relaxing in a beautiful location. We found no fault with Apartment 1 and will look forward to recommending it in the future especially for those who enjoy having their dogs on holiday with them.

Very bright and clean and super grounds down to the river. Great for giving our dog a morning wake up. Nice touches with fresh bread/ cheese and yogurt in fridge. Central to great sites and trips. We lost our WiFi on day two though, which was a bit of a nuisance as we had laptops with us for work. Overall highly recommend and loved our wee visits from Clyde!

Quiet location, adjacent to family home, but very private, own entrance with nice little patio to sit out and catch the evening sun. Ideally located for travelling around Kerry. Clyde, the owners lovely little dog, would drop by in the morning & evening to check in on you! Would definitely book again.

  • "A nice clean warm property, quiet and with a very private deck."

A good shower, comfortable bed with nice bed linen. Lovely well kept garden with river at the bottom. Host Philip very welcoming as was Clyde their adorable little dog. Left lovely food pack for us of orange juice, teabags, milk, brown bread, butter, cheese and ham - all very welcome. A few small points - the couch has perhaps seen better days, comfort wise, and could do with replacing, and I would have liked to see something on the patio door like a light curtain or blind to pull across at night. I just don't like sitting looking at the dark. Many people probably wouldn't mind that. Overall, I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely property.

  • "The apartment is attached to the owners house, set in beautiful, private, extensive grounds leading down to the River Laurne."

It is situated on the edge of the village of Beaufort, which has a small general store and a very good pub/ restaurant, although when we were there in early September it was only open at weekends. However, there are plenty of restaurants and places to eat in the surrounding towns and villages. The apartment is very conveniently located for exploring the Ring of Kerry and Dingle peninsula. It was very peaceful and comfortably furnished. The level of kitchen equipment was adequate, although some additional small items, such as a cafetière and a cheese grater would be useful. There is no washing machine or dish washer, and no room for them, which wasn’t at all a problem for us, but may be for some. There is a fridge, but it has no freezer compartment, which meant we had no ice for drinks. There was no dish cloth, cleaning materials or equipment, apart from a small dust pan and brush. Some may say they don’t want to be cleaning on holiday, (nor do we) but some basic items such as a floor cloth for spills would have been useful. There was no towel rail or anywhere to hang towels in the bathroom. Overall, this is a lovely, comfortable apartment, with very friendly, helpful owners, but lacks a few finishing touches, which is why we have deducted one star from the overall rating.

  • "We had a wonderful holiday in apartment 1."

It is in a beautiful location in a quiet and peaceful spot just off the Ring of Kerry and very close to the gap of Dunloe and Killarney, perfect to explore all the delights of the area. It is very clean and comfortable and surrounded by lovely gardens. The bed is very comfortable and there is a very good shower. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I have knocked a mark off for facilities as it does not have a washing machine or a dishwasher, as do most cottages these days, but there is not really enough room in the apartment for these appliances. Highly recommended. IMOP you could not find a better place to stay in County Kerry to enjoy your holiday.

It’s very secluded, private and peaceful. It’s situated in an ideal location to explore all that Kerry has to offer. Our host were so welcoming and very helpful. The apartment was furnished to a high standard and felt so homely, bright and airy. The shower was a treat every morning. And the kitchen was well appointed. Our welcome pack was lovely with freshly baked bread from a local baker in Killorgan and a lovely complimentary bottle of wine. We didn’t have the best weather, but still enjoyed coffee a couple of mornings on the outside decking and a glass of wine in the evening. Pets are welcomed and has a very nice lawn garden to explore down to the river. We most definitely will come back. Jonathan & Blanca

  • "Mary and Philip, our hosts, were fantastic."

They made sure we had everything we needed and more. We arrived to find a lovely sparkling clean, well stocked cottage. They had even thought to make sure there was something for us to eat for supper after our long drive. Eamer, their daughter, baked some nice cupcakes for us and all in all we felt very spoiled. The property itself is the perfect place to relax. The bathroom has probably the best shower we have ever had the good fortune to use along with a toilet and nice sized basin. The kitchen has a four plate electric hob and oven, a small fridge and plenty space for washing up. There is a small table to sit at while having your meals and a comfortable couch, chair and coffee table for you to use while relaxing in front of the smart TV or taking advantage of one of the interesting books or games left for your entertainment. A short walk to the bottom of the garden reveals a hut with a good sized deck and deck chairs to sit on while enjoying a drink and watching the Salmon occasionally jumping in the river. Mary and Philip gave us great advice about places to visit and before we left, advised us of the most scenic routes to travel to our next destination. A definite five stars for this stay.
