  • "Oak Tree Lodge Beaufort Killarney Hostess Chris was excellent…very attentive and hospitable."

The Lodge is fully equipped and a gem for a romantic break. Right on the foothills of Carrauntoohil and entrance to the Gap of Dunloe and only a few miles from Killarney this is a perfect location for the Ring of Kerry. Local to Katie Kearney and Moriarty eateries combined with the finest stout in Kerry @ Galvin’s. All you need here are your walking boots and a set of wheels to enjoy the magnificent landscape

A lovely touch. The cottage was perfect. Spotlessly clean and cosy. Everything we needed for self catering was provided. The stunning Gap of Dunloe can be walked directly from the cottage. Amazing. We even had deers in the garden in the evening. Lots of leaflets in the cottage that really helped us find our way around and explore the stunning areas around Kilarney. A perfect place to holiday in the kilarney National Park.

  • "We loved the cottage."

It is spacious and the owner made sure there are enough towels, face cloths and toilet paper available. Everything felt and smelled very clean. We were greeted with butter and soda bread and biscuits. A lovely and much appreciated welcome. Gap of Dunloe and cafe and pub are within walking distance and deer greeted is most evenings right in front of the house. We also had some amazing star gazing evenings. I can highly recommend it. It is a great location to go to several locations from there and Killarney is only a short distance away. Perfect.

Beautiful countryside located by the national park and mountains but also close to the coast, with the Dingle Penninsula and Inch beach a short drive away. The annex is attached to the owners property, who are available for any queries, but totally unobtrusive. The property has everything you need for a relaxing break.

We found it to be conveniently located fro exploring Kerry and the surrounding counties. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable for us for our stay and was easy to find with good parking. When the owner found out we would be arriving late she thoughtfully got in some essentials for the first night. If you want to drive through the Gap it is best done before before 9.30 which is when the Jaunting cars start. We would book again if we were heading that way

  • "Landlord lives next door and has the heating and boiler controls."

They turned off heating. They turned off hot water during the day. This was despite requesting them not to do so. I had to suffer with my toddler. Does the rental cost not included heating and how water supply? It was still cold, particularly at nights. In my view this behavior from the landlord is outrageous. They shouldn't be letting. Despite repeated complaints to Hogans, nothing changed. I can't go to this place again. Our Easter break wasn't a perfect one.

Hi Siva, thanks for your feedback. We are always trying to improve and take suggestions on board. While I'm sorry your expectations weren't met, like we discussed in person, hot water is available 24/7 and as requested, I ensured the heating was on for you during the night. Thanks for staying and hope you had a nice Easter! Property Owner

Could not go back to kerry and not stay at oak tree Lodge, a definite gem, it made our holiday. One bit of advice, in summer months I'd recommend bringing a fan for d bedroom,we had ours, can be warm, there is a skylight with blackout blind, great for those lazy mornings. It was in a good location to explore the south west region. The landlady was helpful and had some essentials (milk, bread, butter, biscuits, tea/coffee etc) in the cottage for our arrival which was a nice touch. • "The accommodation was ideal for these Covid times."

The kitchen was a real bonus being spacious and bright with a gas cooker. We cooked every evening and enjoyed the experience. As a one bedroom holiday accommodation it is bright and spacious and great value for money. Located as it is , near Kate Kearney's cottage, near the Gap of Dunloe it was ideal for walking and as a base to explore Killarney and the beautiful Kerry countryside. While Kerry has many fine beaches we stuck with the Tra Ban (White Strand) about 14 Km outside of Sneem. On occasion we where visited by the local wild deer who pottered through the garden in the very early morning or late evening. I would highly recommend the property for hikers, walkers, photographers or anyone just wishing to be away from the hustle and bustle of Killarney but close enough for an evening out.
