  • "Property is lovely and has beautiful views."

The remoteness has positives, the peace and quiet, the wildlife. The only negatives are that the roads to the property are narrow and this makes it difficult to journey further afield. We found the tv set up a little mystifying and would recommend another hairdryer for the property. Overall we loved the property, the region, and most of all the people. Would definitely recommend the cottage to others.

  • "This property was perfect for our family visiting from the US for a wedding."

Incredible beauty, well taken care of property. The unique layout made it easy for early risers or night owls to enjoy the house while sleeping quarters remained quiet. The gourmet kitchen was fabulous to cook in and we loved meandering over to Helen’s for a delicious meal and pint! Patricia our host was fabulous! We couldn’t have asked for more! Did I say GORGEOUS scenery already?! Thank you so much!

Thank you Denise. I hope you had a great day at the wedding and I'm delighted that the house suited the family. Kieran Property Owner

  • "Inḃear Scéine is a beautiful family home, in a stunning location overlooking Kenmare Bay."

From the moment we arrived we realised it was special and the house, grounds and location met all of our expectations and more. The house itself is wonderfully appointed, extremely comfortable and has every convenience imaginable. We relaxed as our week went by and enjoyed the tranquility and rest. The Beara Peninsula was fun to explore and we made more than one visit to Helens Bar and also to Josie’s Restaurant, both of which were in easy reach. We had a fabulous week at Inḃear Scéine and would recommend it to anyone. Simply stunning.

Thank you Martin, I am delighted that you enjoyed the house and of course the Beara Peninsula. It is indeed a special place. I am here at the moment and expect to spend the next six weeks in relaxation mode! Kieran Property Owner

The location is perfect and the house and mature gardens are just outstanding. Everything possible that we would need was available. Patricia, well she is a star managing a true gem. So helpful and kind. Fantastic house and the added bonus of rabbits and deer visiting the garden to the delight of my grandchildren. We will be returning. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

  • "It was a fabulous experience from start to finish!"

The owner emailed us useful information about the cottage and local area beforehand which was very helpful. The cottage itself was amazing, very spacious, clean, with everything that we could need. You won't be short of reading material if you stay here. Patricia who looked after the property met us to make sure we were OK with everything and we had her number if we needed anything during our stay. The grounds were beautifully kept and we saw rabbits and deer on the lawn. The Beara Peninsula is very scenic and not too busy. We loved it here, thank you!

Hi Amanda. We are really pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Beara is my favourite spot in the world. We will be back ourselves in mid August! Kieran Property Owner

  • "We stayed for 2 weeks this summer."

The house was spacious, comfortable, modern, homely with lovely family feel. It was well equipped - kitchen, TV , games. All the bedrooms were spacious and beds comfortable. We particularly loved having access to the piano, and revived mine and my children interest in returning to play again. The library of books was well stocked, with a great range of genres. The location and scenery stunning with the area not so crowded and busy as other areas. It helped us all to relax after a hard work year. We paid extra to have the BBQ as this was additional costs. I would however, recommend new garden chairs to sit comfortably outside to enjoy the great weather we had. Overall it was really excellent house and we would love to come again. Thank you

We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and renewed your interest in the piano! You are quite right about the garden chairs; they have now been retired. The BBQ charge covers the cost of cleaning it. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "This is a beautiful house in an amazing location."

There is everything you need for a relaxing self catering holiday within this property. It is very isolated and the nearest town is a long and winding journey, but the scenery is beautiful. We caught and cooked fish from the sea.

We are glad that you enjoyed the house and had everything you required. And, yes, the local scenery is really outstanding. Property Owner

  • "We had a brilliant stay in a stunning setting."

The only negative was the general cleanliness of the house which was disappointing. The whole house needs a deep clean. When you look beyond a clean worktop you find light fittings and pictures that are thick with dust and cobwebs, windows that have clearly not been cleaned in many months and a bathroom that was mouldy. I don't know if this is due to workload from Hogans or attention to detail. If hygiene had been on point this would have been a 10/10 stay.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and apologise for any shortcomings in the overall cleanliness. All of the issues you listed have now been attended to and we hope to see you at the house again. Property Owner

  • "We stayed is this property for a month with our two young children and it was perfect."

We could easily take them down to the strand to play in the water and there was a lovely pub at the pier just a mile away. It was for part of my maternity leave and it was a wonderful place for our family to bond and see all the beautiful sights in Kerry.

We are delighted that you enjoyed the house and that it played such a positive family role during your maternity leave. Property Owner
