A delightful, detached cottage situated on a working livestock farm, in the townland of Direen, close to the village of Ballinskelligs and the famous Ring of Kerry, County Kerry.

This charming cottage is ideal for families or groups of friends looking for both a countryside and coastal holiday, with plenty of nearby things to see and do.

Set entirely across the ground floor, this Ballinskelligs cottage offers four comfortable bedrooms.

The fitted kitchen with dining area comes well-equipped for all your culinary needs, so you can enjoy a spot of entertaining during your holiday.

After a day discovering the Ring of Kerry, you can retire to the cosy sitting room, put your feet up and relax with a good book in front of the roaring fire.

With an enclosed garden, the children can play safely outside this Ballinskelligs cottage, whilst you enjoy a refreshing drink and alfresco cooking on the BBQ.

The village of Ballinskelligs offers a cafe and a gallery, as well as a friendly local shop and pub.

Lying on the stunning Skellig Ring, which boasts endless sandy beaches married with turquoise waters, Ballinskelligs has a strong watersports and boating tradition and there are daily trips to the ancient Skelligs where you can visit the ancient World Heritage site.

Scattered with ruins, you will feel truly immersed in the fascinating history.

Situated halfway between the popular tourist destinations of Waterville (5.5 miles away) and Cahersiveen (4.5 miles away), both can be easily reached.

You will find a waterside golf course at Waterville and lively pubs in Cahersiveen, where you can try a pint of the black stuff!

Located on the magnificent Skellig Ring between Waterville and Valentia Island, on the forthcoming Wild Atlantic Way, with wild rugged coastlines, scattered islands, vast mountains and high passes, the seaside area of Ballinskelligs sits on the attractive Ballinskelligs Bay and is an Irish-speaking area with a unique history and culture. Once the land base for the monks of Skellig Michael, the surrounding area has numerous prehistoric and early Christian ruins along its shores. The area is renowned for its miles of golden beaches and turquoise waters and offers excellent swimming and watersports on the Blue Flag beach, along with boat trips to the Skelligs, walking in the Ballinskellig/Bolus Head Loop and cycling. A visit to the Skelligs Chocolate Factory is a must! There are plenty of world class golf courses nearby, Waterville has an 18-hole championship golf course, just nine miles away, there's also Dooks Golf Links at Glenbeigh, and those at Killarney and Tralee.
