We stayed for a week in June and had a lovely time once we found the house. It is right at the end of a small spit of land and not so easy to find but you really feel out on the edge of the world. The land lady was fantastic and looked after us very well and was always responsive when we had any questions. There is a credit system for electricity which only cost us about 20 euro or so for the week. The rooms are clean, bright and airy and the house is excellently stocked with everything you could need. Very comfortable and spacious. The back garden is gated which was great for our small children and there is a lovely decking area that catches a bit of sun in the evening where we could sit for a drink after putting the kids to bed. Its only couple of hundred metres to a lovely beach and 'common pasture' area. The water wasn't too cold for our toddler who loved it. The only problem was that there was a bull out loose on the common wandering around with the cattle. On several occasions he was between us and the beach (or too close for comfort/running distance with a buggy) so we had to head straight back home again. The guards said they would sort it out though. It wouldn't put us off staying here again though as we had a super time.
