  • "The house is ideally located in a rural area with easy access to both hiking trails and to Killarney and Kilorglin."

There are some fantastic mountain drive routes but take it easy on the narrow country roads where you will come across humans walking and cycling and animals grazing. The weather was great when we visited which made our Carrauntoohil climb even more rewarding.

The surroundings are stunning. Cottage owners Brian and Mary were friendly and helpful. You need a car for here but that's probably similar for most rural Ireland cottages. Highly recommend!
