  • "A lovely welcome from Mary, even though it was late in the evening when we arrived."

Really appreciated the welcome hamper and Mary went out her way to be very helpful; her recommendations on where to visit were very much appreciated. Cottage was very clean with plenty of facilities and extras, we felt very comfortable and a perfect location

  • "The accommodation was absolutely perfect."

It was so comfortable, homely, warm and cosy we were very happy to spend the odd night in. It was so peaceful and quiet. It was within walking distance of everything in the town. The hosts were very informative and friendly, and welcomed my dog with open arms. Garden was not secure for the dog, that was the only tiny issue. We were delighted with the accommodation, it felt like a home from home, and will book again.

  • "Nice quiet place, although the main road (and the village center) is very close by."

The owners are very helpfull, the kitchen has everything you need. Good place to discover the Beara peninsula. One wish: a reading lamp near sofa or/and armchair is helpfull.

  • "We had a phantastic time."

House and location were perfect for us. We found evrything in the house we needed for an ideal stay. As our ferry was late we found on arrival a well equipped "first aid basket" with food in the kitchen with wonderful home made bread and a lot more. Thanks for the warm hospitality of our hosts. We also appriciated the friendly neighbourhood.

Located only a few minutes walk from the town but also in a very peaceful and quiet area. Great base for exploring the Beara peninsula. The property itself is well equipped and very clean. The hosts were very helpful lovely people and not intrusive. They were available for anything if you needed them. I would highly recommend this property if you are visiting Glengarriff.

Comfortable and peaceful property, ideally situated for amenities in Glengarriff, Bantry and the Beara peninsular. It’s not too far from the ring of Kerry and Killarney. We can thoroughly recommend this letting for a great stay in this beautiful part of Ireland.

  • "My husband and I spent a week here in September 2020."

The home and facilities were perfect for our 'staycation'. It had all the comforts of home. We spent the week touring the Beara peninsula and it was ideal coming home after a long day to comfy sofa and on the couple of chilly evenings, cosy heat. During Covid pandemic we were so glad to see it had been totally sanitised for us. The village of Glengarriff is minutes from the front door, but the house still seems nice and secluded. Have already recommended it to family.

Ideal for touring West Cork, the Ring of Kerry, the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Beara. Friendly, welcoming and informative hosts. Lots of activities for all ages in the region and no shortage of good pubs and restaurants.

  • "The place was spotless and really well equipped."

Every kitchen utensil you could think of (not that I did any cooking). The t.v. gave us so many choices and we could watch our favorites on ITV - great. The bedrooms were clean and the beds and bedding extremely comfortable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to any of my friends. The owners (the Byers) were very accommodating and really nice people. The location is ideal for touring West Cork and Kerry. Really a great holiday - can't wait to go back next year - God willing.

The house itself was clean and modern, with plenty of character. The owners bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, including leaving a 'welcome pack' with milk and other essentials. We will be returning.

  • "This was a really super cottage in a great location and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it."

It’s in a lovely quiet position on the estate, with great views, yet a mere few minutes’ walk, if that, to all Glengarriff has to offer. The cottage was super-clean and comfortable and we enjoyed staying there very much indeed….. Although there’s so much to see and do in the surrounding area you might not find yourself spending much time in the cottage itself! But coming home after a day’s sightseeing it’s a welcome retreat with comfy furniture, great self-catering equipment and really good beds. The owners were totally charming and very helpful and met us at the property to explain how things worked. We loved our stay here and hope to be back some time – we wouldn’t pause to book the same cottage again, and would certainly advise friends and family to stay there. Definitely worth its top rating!
