  • "This cottage was a perfect base for us and answered some specific requirements, namely dog friendly and ground floor bedroom and bathroom as on family member has mobility issues."

there are two slight negatives in that respect, 1 - the bed in the ground floor bedroom is low and was a challenge to get out of and 2 - they found the ground floor bath difficult to get in or out of. these are negatives only in respect of our very specific needs, otherwise we found the cottage brilliant, it was well equipped, very clean and comfortable, the water tastes delicious. the conservatory has fabulous views across the bay and the walk down to the pier and back was very good exercise with wonderful views and scenary.

  • "Lovely cottage in lovely location."

Cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. Finbar and Caroline are very helpful and friendly. Would recommend Sugarloaf cottage for families, very safe for kids. We enjoyed our week and hope to return next year, fingers crossed!

  • "I already FH illed in this form Cottage was clean but I would rate it 3."

Both DC ouble beds need new mattresses, both beds very uncomfortable Both toilets need work as did not always flush Towels were very very old and worn. No shelves in tiny fridge! Table and chairs in conservatory much too big for the space, no room to manoeuvre. We all got coughs so I suggest there was mould in the house. I am very surprised that you do not check properties as it would appear that you take owners word at face value. I therefore would not rent from you again.

  • "We didn’t book this cottage initially, but came to it after our original cottage booking was cancelled - and how lucky we were!"

! This cottage, its location, and the owners were all fantastic! It was warm, welcoming and had more than enough facilities for a family of 5 (the dishwasher and washing machine were a godsend!) We had a wonderful week staying near friends and were able to explore some of the most beautiful and hidden-away places in this part of Co Cork. I cannot recommend it more highly and fully intend to book it again next year.

  • "The cottage is amazing in such a beautiful setting and was absolutely spotless when we arrived with everything you’ll need there."

The owners are so friendly and helpful full of local knowledge. There is sooo much to do there I could go on all day but here’s just a few The Healy pass is a must, kayaking with seals is 10 minutes away, check out the cove for a swim at the bottom of the hill right outside the cottage it’s beautiful. Go for a Guinness at the wild Atlantic bar 5 minutes away, the landlady is so nice. Go whale watching, dursey island is amazing. I could go on, but just go you’ll love it.

This holiday cottage was beautiful comfortable and felt like home, we hated leaving to go home We had everything we needed on site and beds were so comfortable and place spotlessly clean when we arrived The location was wonderful With small beach about a mile from us with the clearest water and the area was idyllic for walks Owner Finbarr was nearby if we had any issues-which we didn’t I highly recommend this lovely country cottage in west cork And we will book again - soon I hope

  • "The cottage was scrupulously clean and in a very beautiful place."

The little coves about 15 minutes walk down the hill were the best places for swimming we have ever been to. Everyone was friendly and helpful. When the cooker broke down the landlord got it replaced the next day, even though it was bank holiday weekend and he was off on a trip himself. We love swimming, kayaking and walking, but if you wanted more of a driving tour and visiting attractions then this is also a great location, for both West Cork and East Kerry.
