“Cosy and comfortable”

Cosy cottage with comfortable sitting room and beds. We had great weather for most of the week however there was a damp smell in the house on the days it rained a lot. Spiral staircase very tight so take care going up and downstairs

There was a damp smell in the house on the days it rained so perhaps time heating to come on during wet weather . Spiral staircase very narrow so not suitable for young children or elderly

“This was cancelled in May but Sykes still took full amount despite a phone call in June reminding you of cancellation.”

In present climate we were unable to travel to Ireland. This disgraceful lack of customer service and blatant breach of contract has lost your company our future business and that of our family and friends. These details have been sent to CMA

“A little strange this as we did not stay at the cottage we booked.”

Mrs Fielding the owner actually moved us to the 'Beehive cottage' just below the Atlantic. Work was going on around the original cottage. I have to say the Beehive was really comfortable and suited us perfectly. Tea and biscuits awaited us on arrival and we were also met by Pip the dog plus three small kittens, outside I would hasten to add. The location was perfect for touring around this part of Ireland, There are stores close by in Ballinspittle and excellent restaurants in Kinsale. Everything went smoothly and we had no need to refer to Mrs at all although she was close by if needed. Departure was also relaxed and arranged between us. All in all I would recommend this cottage in a beautiful part of the world. Hope to return next year

“Peaceful and relaxing”

The host Bernadette was very friendly and helpful. We had a little problem on our second day ( of our own making) and Bernadette sorted it out straight away. Cottage cosy and plenty of room also space for our dog. Everything we needed was in the cottage. It is close to many of the areas in Cork and not far from Cork City.We had a peaceful and pleasant stay.

“Great location!”

This small cottage is set in a great location with a fantastic view. Really felt like we were getting away from it all but still within easy reach of the amenities Kinsale and Ballinspittle. Good value for money in this region and pet friendly with a good-sized garden for our dog.

Overall, this cottages sits on a superb, peaceful spot from which to enjoy all this area has to offer including golf, fishing and beautiful walks.
