  • "We spent 1 wonderful week in Clover Hill over the Christmas period."

The house has everything you could want or need, it's location is ideal for getting to the local shops or as a base for going on spins & exploring further places such as Dingle & Valentia Island. The host is a lovely lady & was only ever a text or a call away at any stage if we had a query. Sarah even made our dog feel welcome by ensuring there was a water bowl and a tennis ball waiting for her upon arrival. Top class, will definitely stay here again in the future!

  • "Roomy cottage close to Killorglin, on a quiet road."

No problem parking. There's an Aldi close by, and a few pubs in town. Everything was clean and ready for us, key available. We had a dog, and garden was fully enclosed. Kitchen is spacious, with a big fridge, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedrooms good size, plenty of storage. It rained quite a bit, but that's SW Ireland! We struggled initially with the oven, but got it worked out after a day; it works well once you know what you're doing. Also had some issues with the boiler timing. Would have been nice to have a little guide on that. We always had hot water, but pretty sure we had boiler on more than it could have been! But overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the cottage!

Hi Steve, Firstly, apologies for the weather, it really was an exceptionally bad week. As regards the oven, yes these days all appliances seem to be complicated but the book of instructions was in a kitchen drawer, you should have called me and I would have popped in to explain. I have taken your comment re the boiler on board and will leave a note for any future guests, when I personally check in guests I usually explain. It is always set for hot water. Thank you for taking the time to write a review, much appreciated! Kind Regards, Sarah Kelly... Property Owner

  • "Lovely house with quality furnishings."

The only negative was the oil boiler which when turned off by the timer made a continuous chug chug noise which woke us up the first night. I had to turn the termperature to zero and turn the boiler back on to stop the noise.

Thank you for commenting Trevor, I am glad you enjoyed my "lovely house" as you put it. Sorry about the boiler keeping you awake the first night with it's chugging, I have the temperature set at low/medium but sometimes people fiddle with the setting and adjust it, normally I check it but on that occasion it must have slipped through my check list. It was disappointing for you having to leave a day early, I hope all went well! Kind Regards, Sarah.... Property Owner

  • "We had a great stay at clover hill."

The cottage was comfortable and bigger than it looked in the picture. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The location is was perfect for exploring the Killarney national park, ring of Kerry and the Dingle ring. A bonus was being able to walk into Kilorglin (well equipped for supermarkets and restaurants and bars). Would highly recommend

Thank you Lajja for taking time to comment. I am pleased to hear that you and your fellow guests enjoyed your stay in Killorglin at Clover Lodge. Also I am pleased that you had no negativity to comment on and therefore I am surprised and a little disappointed that Hogan's Cottages company gave a rating of only 88% ... Again thank you... • "The house was lovely and seemed bigger than the photos."

The location was great as we could walk into town or join the Ring of Kerry . We did a mix of visiting relatives and sightseeing and the house was a great base for both. Having 3 bedrooms with 3 separate bathroom facilities is rare The garden was very sunny and quiet. Lovely coincidence to discover on the last day that Sarah knew some of my Irish relatives. We will definitely go back to Cloverhill and Ireland.

Thank you Eileen for taking the time to comment . Your comment is very much appreciated, I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay and also it was so nice for you and Alex to catch up with all your Irish cousins, some of whom I know. Hope to welcome you back to Clover Lodge again sometime. Kind Regards, Sarah. Property Owner

The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make us feel at home. It is within easy walking distance of the centre of the the town with a good supermarket nearby but is in a quiet suburb so very peaceful. It is well placed to explore this beautiful part of Ireland. Thank you to Sarah the owner of the property for the delicious granola she brought us, it was yummy.

A spacious well equipped kitchen, 3 bathrooms, etc. Extremely peaceful and quiet day and night. Handy location for Killarney and many other tourist attractions by car. • "The house was in the most perfect location, in the centre of Killorglin but on a very quiet road, within easy walking distance of all the local amenities."

All of the rooms in Sarah's house were spacious and welcoming, we spent most of our time in the fabulous kitchen/diner that had all the mod cons a family would need for a very comfortable stay. Communication with Sarah was great, she checked in on us shortly after we arrived and was on hand locally should we have needed any help. The most wonderful weather ensured that we had a fantastic time visiting all the incredible places of interest in and around Killorglin. Thank you Sarah, we wouldn't hesitate recommending your house to family and friends and hopefully we will be lucky enough to stay at Clover Hill in the future.

Boasting a ground-floor bedroom and shower room, 17 Clover Hill is ideal for a variety of groups and can sleep up to five guests in three bedrooms.

After parking in your off-road parking space, head in through the front door and find a spacious sitting room to the right of the hallway, with two plush sofas to relax on and a wonderful woodburning stove set within a slate fireplace, with a glimpse through to the dining area in the next room through the duel-facing fireplace.

A ground-floor double bedroom is perfect for any members of the group who prefer not to tackle the stairs, served by a ground-floor shower room reached via a dressing room, whilst upstairs you can find a further double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a single and a bathroom.

The friendly town of Killorglin is a wonderful place to base a stay for the lovely streets lined with colourful houses, welcoming pubs and many shops, with a lovely scenic position next to the River Laune.

Enjoy riverside walks and catch sight of the active rowing club practicing, with these salmon-rich waters also being an excellent spot for keen anglers, with the Laune Salmon and Trout Anglers Association welcoming visiting anglers with permits and licenses available.

Perhaps the most well-known thing about Killorglin is that it's home to one of Ireland's oldest, longest and most unusual festivals at the start of August, Puck Fair, which entails the tradition of capturing a wild Puck goat and enthroning it on a pedestal, as well as hosting open air concerts, dancing displays and lots more!

The town is also a gateway to the Ring of Kerry on the Iveragh Peninsula, offering a wonderful cycling route for keen cyclists to really take in the magnificent scenery of the area.

Ireland's highest mountain range, MacGillycuddy's Reeks provides a backdrop to the town, while the beaches of Cromane, Dooks and Rossbeigh are all within easy driving distance as is the Dingle Peninsula.

The Killarney National Park is another marvellous place to explore, as is Lough Leane.
