Head east and you will come to the pretty town of Killorglin with a variety of cafes, restaurants and pubs for you to sample or, if the outdoors is more your thing, have a go at fishing on the River Laune and at Caragh Lake.
Go out for a walk or cycle in the surrounding area and you will come cross some terrific scenery and you will not be disappointed.
