“Beautiful!”

Absolutely wonderful! There is nothing you will need, other than food, to stay in this beautiful cottage. Beautifully decorated, wonderful sleeping, nice location, on and on. Micheal, our host, is a super host and has made certain your stay is complete. There is even a wash & dryer which is unheard of in most airbnbs.

We are no strangers to staying at Nono's cottage as this was our third time staying at this property - I think that says it all! “Nono's Cottage was a beautiful place to stay and we really enjoyed our visit.”

The cottage had absolutely everything you could wish for, with a really well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds with beautiful linen and a duvet that made you feel you were sleeping under a beautiful soft cloud! The decor was tastefully done throughout and finished off with nice ornaments and pictures. There was an area out front where you could sit and watch the world go by, and also a seating area at the back of the property where we sat out and had our breakfast each morning. There was a really nice welcome basket awaiting us, and the host, Micheal, could not have been more friendly. Everyone we met in Gneeveguilla was extremely friendly. There is a pub next door and a little village shop/post office. We could not fault Nono's cottage and would love to come back again one day.

“Different Class of Self-Catering Accomodation”

NoNo's Cottage is without doubt the best furnished and well equipped self-catering accommodation we have stayed at in over 30 years. Renovated 2 years ago, it is contemporary and modern in style but seems to retain it's old world charm. Spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable with all the modern facilities you need to self-cater. Both bedrooms are spacious and en-suite with excellent showers. We were warmly welcomed by Michael the owner lives next door and so is always there should you have a problem or need any information without being "in your face". NoNo's is just 15 minutes from Killarney and surrounding places of interest. A must visit for all chocolate lovers is the Skellig Chocolate Factory at Ballinaskellig. On a good day the drive and scenery to the factory are out of this world and not to be missed.

“Nono's Cottage is a real gem - the Emerald of the Emerald Isle!”

Perfect for one or two couples or a small family who want to stay off the beaten track but still have easy car access to all Kerry's scenic beauty. The 2 pubs in the village are not very active but they are convenient at 5 secs and 10 secs walk away. One village shop is 20 secs away, the other 40. There are no eating establishments in the village but reasonable ones a short drive way in Rathmore or Barraduff. There are oodles of restaurants in Killarney, less than 30 mins drive away. Nono's is a characterful modern conversion of an old family Cottage that was also once a shop. Owner Micheal has excelled in exceeding our expectations of cleanliness, character, comfort and convenience. It is without doubt the best of the many holiday properties we have rented over the years. When booking we failed to notice that a well-behaved dog was permitted. We normally avoid such properties as we have relevant allergies. However, it is a tribute to Michael's exceptionally high cleaning standard that neither of us noticed any allergic affects. Indeed, we are happy, even keen, to return.

“Home from home”

We stayed at Nono's Cottage for a week in July. We were impressed from the beginning - what a beautiful house with everything you could possible need for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. Our host Michael was friendly and helpful and had even left a welcome basket for us. We had a wonderful week travelling round Killarney and this was the perfect base. Clean, comfortable and a shop near by with fresh baked bread every morning. Would go back in a flash!

I've stayed at four of your properties now and this one is the only one I would return to. As you rating system is not very accurate I know longer trust it. If this property is only a four star then Carmel cottage should only be a three and ferry lodge should be a two. Back to NoNo cottage,it was one of best places I've stayed at anywhere so for and I'm going to need more cottages as I'm her in England til Nov.

“Absolutely beautiful cottage attention to detail was second to none, I visit the area on a regular basis and this was easily the best property I have stayed in.”

It was so relaxing I never even turned on either of the 3 TV's provided. Killarney was about a 20 minute drive and the village was a perfect sleepy environment, it is beside and straight across the road from the town's two pubs. However it is so peaceful we chose to spend our 3 nights at 'home' which is exactly what it felt like. A lovely information pack is provided about the cottages history and a fantastic welcome pack provided, and the very friendly owner Micheal who lives directly behind the property is only a phone call away ( although we found any queries were answered in detail in the welcome pack, Would stay again most definitely if the opportunity ever arises. “Best Cottage ever”

I can honestly say without fear of contradiction that this was the best holiday cottage that we ever stayed in. It felt less like a holiday rental and more like you own home only better. Everything from the decor to the facilities was perfect. The cottage itself is a two bedroom (sleeps four) open plan style but it does not feel like it as there is a distinct separation of kitchen from lounge. The kitchen is better then well appointed and is to a very high standard, it has a built in oven-hob, a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and enough crockery and cutlery for six people let alone four. There are two bedrooms each with en-suite shower room and walk in wardrobes, each bedroom also has it's own t.v. and very comfortable beds. The lounge has two sofas a large screen t.v. and a duel fuel stove ( although when we stayed it was not cold enough to justify using it, pity) and also a very neat wall mounted stereo system. The patio garden is small but is a very comfortable place to spend an evening with a glass of wine, should you get the weather, and has some interesting bits and bobs. There is even a small utility room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer and even has an extra toilet, that makes three toilets in all, brilliant. I really cannot fault this place and the owner, Mr Daly,is a very friendly, warm and generous person. He has thought of everything and even his guest book has a nice story to relate about the history of the cottage and it's surroundings. Talking of the surroundings the cottage is located in a very small town called Gneevguilla which has a post office a small supermarket and two pubs, as I said small, however it is located just 12 kms from Killarney and about 40 kms from Cork city so is an ideal base for exploring Kerry and west Cork. Therefore a car is essential, however there are some nice walks in the area and the locality is well worth exploring on foot. The title of my piece is Best cottage ever and if your ever lucky enough to stay here you will know why.

The attention to detail by the owner was outstanding, everything from the décor to the pots and pans was perfection. We have stayed in a number of cottages in Ireland over the last few years and I have to say this was the best by some distance. I only wish we could have stayed longer. If we ever visit Kerry again this will be the place we will chose to stay in.
