The property

This modern four-bedroom property is situated in the Castletownshend area of Cork, just south of Skibbereen.

Ideal for two families or a large group, this well-finished property is ideal for exploring the beauty of County Cork.

To one side, a very sizeable kitchen diner where you can enjoy making your meals at the lovely breakfast bar, the formal dining suite or walk on through to the extra luxury of the conservatory, with its cosy two-seater sofa, easy chair and rocking chair.

To the other side of the hallway is a comfortable sitting room with its corner sofa unit, from where you can put on a DVD and relax.

Up the finely finished wooden staircase are four versatile bedrooms.

The master has an en-suite shower room, with the others comprising a bunk room, a double and a single with additional roll-out option.

A separate family bathroom caters for the remainder of the group.

The surrounding outside space is a paved driveway that surrounds the property and the view from the conservatory offers views of the open grassed areas beyond.

Fahouragh is in an idyllic isolated spot, but a five-minute drive will take you into nearby Castletownshend.

Further afield are the beauties of County Cork, with a half an hour drive to Clonakilty to the East, or why not travel West and grab a ferry from Baltimore over to the tranquillity of Sherkin Island, Hillview is a beautiful spot from which to explore the southern areas and rugged coast of County Cork.

Skibbereen 6 miles.

Castletownshend is a coastal village near Skibbereen in County Cork. The village is built up around the 17th century castle, with the quayside and harbour also attractive focal points of the village. There is an Egon Ronay restaurant, Mary Anne’s, and a church with beautiful stained glass. A few miles down the road, the town of Skibbereen offers plenty of shops and restaurants, the West Cork Arts Centre and Skibbereen Heritage Centre. There is also a good golf course, and an indoor sports centre. A terrific base for enjoying this part of Cork.
