  • "Very dated cottage but certainly has charm."

Issues with heating, the cottage was very cold, fridge was leaking due to the freezer section not being closed correctly, having to get rid of the ice and clean up water. No heat in bathroom sadly. Overall it was clean and very much felt like going back in time in a time capsule.

  • "This flat has its rough edges, but it's great for people who don't need a fireplace to feel cosy."

Even if the facilities are not all perfect, the surrounding is amazing. We had wild rabbits in and Robins in the morning, as well as a cock, which woke us and a cuddling horse behind the houses. Nearly every interesting destination can be reached within an hour, e.g. Lough Derg, Leap Castle, Kilkenny, Waterford, Cobh and the Vee Pass (15 min distance) between Tipperary and Waterford is worth a visit. So it's great for a couple or a single person, to start the discovery of south and middle Ireland.

  • "Our stay at Ryan's loft was most enjoyable, being on a working farm it was lovely seeing and feeding the horses and chicken."

The loft was comfortable for 2 and everything was at hand. It was a very good base to visit the areas of Tipperary, Waterford, Cork ,Limerick etc. We were given a wonderful welcome by the owners, nothing is to much trouble. They are very knowledgable about Southern Ireland and give good advice about places to visit. We would love to make a return visit sometime in the future. Please pass on our thanks to the owners.

I had to leave after only staying 1 night. Beautiful accommodation although its a bit busy with dry flowers and knick knacks taking up valuable space. Owner addressed issue with me over the managers conduct. Beautiful scenery. My fur baby and I, enjoyed the scenic walks.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

The cottage had everything we needed and Bridget was incredibly pleasant and helpful. The only downside was how very hard the mattress is, but I suppose that may be a subjective thing that some may like and others dislike. Overall, we loved it and we would definitely return.

  • "For us this quirky little property was perfect."

Small and compact, designed well (even the staircase to the property door!) and comprised of all that you would require including Wi-Fi for a comfortable short stay. Slightly off the beaten track, which meant travelling to go anywhere but it wasn't a hinderance to us. Hosts were very pleasant, helpful and courteous. Very pleased to have stayed here and if in the area again would love to come back one day.

  • "Ryans loft is a really good base for touring around the south east of Eire."

The loft itself is cosy and plenty big enough for 2 people. The only negatives were the oven didnt work on the cooker and there is very little work surfaces/shelve spaces and any that there was is taken up by personal nic nacs ie ornaments and plastic flowers. All in all with the above changes (at very little expense) Ryans Loft would be an ideal holiday rental.

Thank you for your feedback. The oven is in perfect order. For use, it is required to be switched on at the mains. Property Owner

The owner met me and showed me around the flat, she had left in milk, butter, some fruit and freshly baked buns. There was also tea, coffee and other condiments. It was very comfortable and quiet, relaxing. I had my dog with me and we went on lovely walks up the lane or into the village. The location was central for a lot of places and I travelled to a few of the historic places. The owner was very helpful and shared some of the history of the farm and surrounding areas. "Ryan's Loft was a great place for what we needed! It was very peaceful; the town is very small but lively and pretty. The owners were wonderful and we even became friends shortly into our 9 night stay! Expectations were exceeded in MANY ways. We WILL certainly be back. The cottage/loft itself is rustic and very homey and comfy. It's absolutely perfect for a simple getaway in the country with all the country charm and character! There are lots of travel books in a basket left by other travelers, and there are all sorts of spices, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and butter and other cooking basics ready for use. Our holiday was very memorable, and a lot of that was because of our fantastic hosts!
