  • "We very much loved our stay here - lovely size, a very welcome ‘welcome pack’ of goodies, beds were very comfortable and communication was fantastic."

Travelling with a teen meant that the wifi was very much appreciated. All rooms were spacious - the kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed - but especially a cafetière and a percolator. It was really handy having two bathrooms as we were an extended family group travelling together. Would suggest that the downstairs shower curtain is replaced - it seemed to allow lots of shower water onto the floor. There was lots of hot water for our extended group to have showers/baths/run the dishwasher etc. Perfect accommodation for our base to explore County Cork with everything we needed. Youghal town was a lovely surprise - lots of welcoming friendly people and a beach that is now in my top ten beaches.

  • "The holiday property was very comfortable and the location ideal for exploring East Cork and West Waterford."

It had a lovely panoramic view of the coast and surrounding countryside. The courtesy phone call from the owner Donal on the evening of our arrival and the treats he provided were much appreciated. We hope to stay again in the property in the future. Ann

  • "We stayed at this property for 3 wks recently and had the most amazing stay."

We're a family of 5, with 3 small kids and this property just had everything going for it. Facilities, locality and comfort were all spot on!! It was nice and quiet and safe for our kids. The property was spotless and had absolutely everything we needed and more. The owners we're just the most pleasant people to deal with. I would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back

  • "The villa is set in a lovely, well-maintained secure (gated) holiday village."

Probably due to Covid, it was very quiet and peaceful, meaning that we could use our outdoor seating area for meals without disturbance from neighbours. The one draw-back was that we had expected shops and restaurants to be more easily accessible: The distances stated on the website are misleading at best, not mentioning how very steeply up a hill the villa is located. However, this did not spoil our otherwise beautiful holiday in a lovely part of the world.

  • "A good experience."

The cottage was nicely, although if there had been 5 adults as planned rather than just the three of us (two had not been vaccinated so couldn't come), I think we would have struggled with the two small settees between us. The wifi and TV were excellent which was a major bonus. The reception on site was closed for the whole of the stay which was a major disappointment, as we found it difficult to know what was going on. I think that it should be made clear to everyone how hilly it is in Youghal and that the resort is a the top of a massive, very steep hill. My wife who has slight mobility problems was unable to walk back up the hill from town. Despite the COVID restrictions, limiting the nightlife opportunities and BBQs etc, we had a lovely time, even though we feel we missed out on the full benefits of some aspects.

  • "This was a great place to stay with views of the sea and river."

Although late in the season we were blessed with good weather and this only added to the experience. The site is ideally based for exploring and Youghal is a small town with plenty of places to eat. I won't tell you where as exploring is all part of the experience. The people here are friendly and helpful. Although I was in the area for work, the evenings and weekends here made it feel like I was on holiday. Contact from the owner was just right and we had help at hand where needed

There was lots of hot water at all times and The house was very warm. The owners were lovely and couldn't do enough to assist us, even providing us with a welcome food basket when we arrived which was a lovely touch. The property is located in a lovely quiet well maintained holiday village.

  • "A lovely property with everything you could need for a family stay in Youghal, Co Cork."

The owners were lovely and left a very welcoming basket of essentials & some Irish treats, including a full fruit bowl. A lovely touch when we arrived. Only thing we would pick out is the en-suite shower fixtures are looking in need of updating & not the ‘quality fixtures’ in the property description, however this did not detract from our stay. The complex has a small heated pool which looked great for families with younger children, our teenager was too big to take advantage of it! Although you can walk to Youghal town centre it is a very steep hill down & feels even steeper coming back up, so best to have a designated driver... :)
