  • "A lovely stay in a delightful bungalow, close to a wonderful location, what more could one expect."

I would very happly return again, and can recommend this accommodation.

  • "Positives first - When we arrived everything looked clean and tidy."

The kitchen was well equipped and modern with everything you could possibly need. There was a washing machine in the utility even though we didn't use it. The furnishings were comfortable but dated. The garden was large and enclosed so safe for children and dogs. There was a nice park, chip shop and Tesco within walking distance. Portstewart is a 20 to 30 minute walk away. It was a good base if you want to explore that coastline and visit Giants Causeway. Now the negatives - The WiFi is terrible and kept dropping out. The kitchen bin was still full from the previous visitor. The kitchen had leftover food from previous guests including half open packets of biscuits. We were unable to take a bath without issue. The cold tap didn't work so we had to fill a bowl from the tap to cool the bath down. This was reported to the owner who came at a prearranged time while we were out. Upon our return we found out they had done something so neither bath taps worked. We had specifically booked this property as we don't have a bath at home and it's a holiday treat. We had 3 bath towels and 3 hand towels for 6 adults which wasn't enough. The cupboards in the house generally looked like they needed a good clear out. The longer we stayed the more bodged maintainable we noticed. We soon realised that the property is up for sale so maybe that explains the lack of care in the property.

  • "Had a really nice stay."

House was very comfortable and adjacent to shops, beach and promenade. WiFi was poor and non existent on Thursday and Friday. Water was at times boiling which could be dangerous in certain circumstances. Could have been cleaned better. Maybe a folder detailing instructions for appliances and whereabouts of Bottle Bank etc would be an idea Would not hesitate to book again and recommend to others. Great to be back in Portstewart-our favourite spot

  • "Great location."

Very comfortable accommodation. WI-FI could do with upgrading, was continually dropping out. Need to be aware of hot water as it was scalding hot.

  • "The house was great and had all we needed, lots of room, very clean too."

The kitchen had been renovated but the layout was better and safer before! the hub was in a very dangerous place you could easily put your hand on it before it cooled off pans could be knocked off easily! Wifi was ridiculous when coming from another country you need it to work. Apart from those things, it was a pleasant stay but would warn family /friends about the WiFi.

  • "We loved staying at Kewanee."

A spacious, well equipped, quietly situated property with a recently re-fitted kithchen. It`s within walking distance of a supermarket and a short drive to the town centre. An ideal base for exploring the Causeway Coast and beyond. The poor WiFi was the only downside and was not an issue for us.

  • "Whilst the property was excellent for all aspects there were two main problems."

Firstly the Wi-Fi access was appallingly bad/ non existent most of the time and secondly the toilet in the main bathroom did not work half the time. These issues need to be fixed for future renters

  • "Lovely location for touring the North Coast of Northern Ireland."

The cottage had a lovely secure garden for the dogs which they loved. Had what I need for a self catering holiday, ie, a washing machine although loud, it was well equipped, a good shower and comfy beds. The dishwasher was missing a weighted front so could be a bit dodgy but it did the job. A lovely stay. Definitely recommend.

Great location for North Coast. Only very minor drawback was the internet connection. One person on line, it was fine but when a second person tried to connect....it didn’t work unless you were beside the router. Otherwise excellent accommodation

  • "This was a return visit to Kewanee as we liked the bungalow and the area it was in."

It is very comfortable and suited our needs well. The garden is large and our dog enjoyed the space and the grass immensely. The bungalow is in a great location to explore the north coast of N.I. and there is also plenty of local walks. There are plenty of lovely coffee shops and restaurants in Portstewart and the surrounding area to enjoy also.

The garden at the back was really big and private. It was in a great location for amenities, Tesco 5 minutes walk and the sea front 20 minutes leisurely walk The property is a great base for exploring the North coast and all the wonderful beaches and sights. The owner was very responsive with a couple of queries we had seeking information. We definitely would recommend this property and hopefully we will return again in the future.

  • "Fantastic property to holiday in."

2 of us stayed at this property with our 2 motorcycles to explore the coast of northern ireland. We were able to keep our bikes securely in the garage at night. The property is a wonderful home from home and has everything you would need to make your holiday as comfortable as possible. Although the property advertises as suitable for six it can actually accomodate 7 as it has 2 double beds, a single and bunk beds, with 2 bath/shower rooms it is more than enough for any family. Excellent!

The neighbourhood of the property was very quiet and it was close to everywhere we wanted to go. The property is in a quiet residential cul-de-sac, close by to a supermarket, petrol station and other local amenities including a fish and chip shop. There is also a lovely park nearby with play facilities for young children. The property itself is like home from home. What we greatly appreciated was the enclosed large rear garden for our dogs. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone visiting the north coast of Northern Ireland.

  • "We had a fabulous time."

The bungalow is lovely and spacious and very comfortable. What made the holiday for us was the large rear, totally enclosed garden. It was perfect for our two dogs and when they're happy we're happy. The location is good for access to port Stewart strand and the promenade is walkable just beware of the uphill on the way back .. Might not suit those with walking difficulties. We highly recommend and will be back soon

Everything just perfect. So clean and comfortable. A true home from home experience with lots of space to relax. The little extras ie milk and orange, sweets and biscuits etc were very welcoming. Garden excellent especially if you bring a dog which we did. Location perfect. Just out of town in a quiet area. Play park a few minutes walk which our little one loved. We would highly recommend and if we do a staycation again this is where we would make our booking.

There were little touches like milk and eggs in the fridge, salt, sugar etc. The house was very close to beaches, restaurants etc. Best of all were the local people - so friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Owner was also very helpful with places to eat, where to go, etc. The bungalow was immaculate. The accommodation was spacious and very comfortable. This was a superb base for the local area, but would advise that to get the best from the holiday you really need a vehicle. Only suggestions to the owner would be to arrange hooks in the en-suite to hang towels and somewhere to hang outer coats in the entrance hall. Put mat inside the front door to protect the lovely wooden floor. These are helpful suggestions NOT criticisms as the bungalow is excelent.

She showed us around and gave us the keys. The bungalow is bright and roomy and well appointed. We soon got to grips with it.There is a conservatory at the rear which gets really warm and is ideal to air washing.Kewanee is situated quite a way out of Port Stewart and is a short drive in. I would have liked sky tv and there were no rubbish bins in any room. There was clean towels in the airing cupboards and the beds were comfortable. There is an access and egress gate situated in the fencing giving access to the main road.Tesco supermarket is a short walk from the property as is a petrol station with a spar attached. Interestingly no Supermarkets were open until 1pm on The Sunday although Tesco hours will be 10 until 6 from the 12th May to September. The Strand beach is a short drive away. All local resorts have wonderful sand.Visits to the likes of carrick arede and the giants causeway are expensive. It pays to be a National Trust member.Port Rush golf club is brilliant. There are so many things to do but be aware the ferry from Mcgilligan point is very hit and miss. We will definitely return to the area as we loved it.
