  • "The house was great, everything we needed was provided."

The owner was easy to deal with. Unfortunately we found the Sykes' service wanting - despite notifying them immediately that we had to adjust our dates, it took most of a week to get it sorted and then they had the gall to charge another £126 admin fee. I'd expect some kind of fee but felt this to be excessive in the extreme and I wouldn't be in a hurry to use Sykes again.

  • "The admiral is a lovely house and the location is good to see the surrounding area."

The cleanliness could be better and the kitchen utensils, pots and pans are a mish mash of oddments thrown together. No sharp knifes, tin opener doesn't work all glasses and dishes are oddments. Unfortunately the kitchen sink was blocked on arrival, we reported it to the owner and he responded quickly and fixed it within twenty four hours. The shower heads need descaling they only spray from half the head. No clean linen for beds were provided even though we were there for two weeks. Only two tea towels provided so struggled to dry pots, the dishwasher was out of use and the dustbins were full on arrival. Has I said earlier the Admiral is a lovely house but unfortunately it appeared poorly equipped and maintained. On a brighter note the people of coleraine were lovely and made us very welcome has did everyone we met on our holiday to Northern Ireland.

  • "Booked this for my friends stagg do, the house and neighbourhood are both fantastic."

Plenty of space and overall layout of the house was great, we all felt very at home and it provided everything we needed! Great little picnic area out the back for a BBQ, cannot recommend enough!

  • "The Admiral was perfect for our 4-day stay in N."

Ireland. Our host welcomed us and showed us around the well apportioned and equipped house. There were 7 of us staying but there is room for 9 (depending on the makeup of the group).

About the location

COLERAINE

Portstewart 5.7 miles; Portrush 6.6 miles; Derry 30.4 miles; Belfast 52.2.

Coleraine is the principal town on the Causeway Coast. Situated on the banks of the River Bann, it boasts an attractive pedestrian area with award winning floral displays. Soaked in history, with charm and character, the town offers a unique mix of old and new. One of the least celebrated, but most fascinating features about Coleraine is Mountsandel Wood (BT52 1TL). This Mesolithic site is believed to have been inhabited from as long ago as 7700- 7400BC. Visitors to Mountsandel Wood can enjoy a circular walk within the woodland and there is a commanding view of the town from the summit of Mountsandel Fort, which is thought to date to the Anglo-Norman period. Coleraine is close to the bustling towns of Portrush and Portstewart (known as The Triangle), both with busy nightlife. The incredible city of Derry/Londonderry is also within easy driving distance.
