We enjoyed our stay here very much. Owners were especially nice and friendly. It has four bedrooms and three baths with a working kitchen, laundry room, deck and two sitting rooms. We jokingly said we wanted to trim the bushes to have a open ocean view. There are a lot of places to walk and a beach you can drive to which is stunning with its white sand and clear blue water.

Derrybeg 0.75 miles.

Located in the coastal hamlet of Stranacorkra on the edge of the charming village of Derrybeg, County Donegal, is this welcoming single-storey Donegal cottage.

Homely, comfortable and well presented, this Donegal cottage is a real home-from-home for those wishing to experience the rugged beauty and warm hospitality of this unique county.

The kitchen at this Donegal cottage boasts a multi-fuel range supplying additional heating for the chillier months, while doors open onto the pretty decked area with furniture, which enjoys sea views and benefits from sunshine throughout the day.

Two separate sitting rooms offer cosy open fires, with the second sitting room especially a great spot to relax with a book or the Sunday paper, away from the hustle and bustle of the main living area.

Take the short walk to the local pub or into the village of Derrybeg itself, alternatively, wander a little further afield to the lovely sandy beach where children or the family pet can take a dip in the Atlantic.

The friendly owners live locally and will be happy to provide advice on things to do in the area.

The Hills of Donegal are a walker's paradise, with a hike up Mount Errigal, the highest point in Donegal and offering fantastic views from the summit, particularly rewarding.

With golf and fishing in the area and Glenveagh National Park just a short drive, this lovely Donegal cottage is sure to please.
