  • "Nice house we enjoyed staying there."

Also very nice town. There's activities to do if you arrive with kids.

  • "We loved the house and the view was amazing."

We would definitely rent again. Did I mention that view?! The beds were comfy and the space was great. We enjoyed the kitchen and felt lucky to enjoy the picnic table outside. The weather was perfect. Liked having the washer and dryer available too. We had to call Sinead for help w the heat and she got us sorted right away. Some constructive comments: The house looked like it hadn't had guests for awhile. The house was clean but there was bug debris in window sills, corners and along woodwork. Not a big deal - we understand but it probably should have had a look around before we arrived. The hot water in the master bath was a bit hard for us to figure out and we made due but the water pressure was terrible. We ended up showering in the other bathrooms. You might take a look at that. Thanks for sharing your lovely house!

  • "Beautiful property and spotlessly clean!"

If I had any suggestions at all, it would be perhaps more seating as we could not all sit down together in the evening. However this would not prevent me from staying here again. The views were to die for, photos do not do it justice :)

  • "Everything was great."

There were items left in cupboards and freezer by previous guests. The house was very large and big enough to accommodate all our family. Very nice

  • "This was our second time to stay in Fahan and our first in 5 Harbour View."

The house did not disappoint - comfortable, airy, spacious and clean with the most fantastic views over Lough Swilly. Our host Sinéad was so helpful and attentive, and she was happy to help with anything we needed. The house is well positioned within easy driving distance of the most spectacular scenic views and attractions including Fanad Lighthouse, Glenveagh National Park and Dunree Fort. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in nearby Buncrana, less then ten minutes drive away. Highly recommended and we look forward to returning in the near future.

  • "Property was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our family getaway."

Water pressure in the showers was a bit poor though. However, when we had the issue with the leak in the utility, Sinead was very calm, kind and professional.

  • "The house was huge and a great size for two families."

Lots of space for adults and kids. The location was breathtaking and even the position at the top of the hill wasn't a problem (we got good exercise!). The nearby Railway Tavern was great. Highly recommend it for dinner. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The kitchen had most things needed to cater for a large party (maybe a wok or larger frying pan would be great). A few of bits of feedback: 1) The tumble dryer heater didn't work so nothing got dry. This meant we had to put the heating on to dry clothes on the radiators. 2) The showers in the two ensuite bathrooms were poor. The one in the biggest bedroom was just a dribble. Luckily there was a 3rd bathroom we could use 3) The dining room table wasn't big enough to comfortably fit 8 people around it (even 4 of them children) so we couldn't eat together, which was a shame. I think this would really irritate guests with more than 8 adults. Clearly, the house is large enough to cater for big parties but some of the facilities are not, so it would be helpful to feed this back. None of these things stopped us having a wonderful time but if they were resolved I would have given 5 stars.

  • "House was on a very steep slope with several hairpin bends."

It offers wonderful views from every window. Unfortunately for a large house the kitchen was sparsely provided for cooking family meals and the oven wasn’t clean. Overall it was an enjoyable break.

  • "The property is very gorgeous, well kept and very clean."

We had the most fantastic time with my family. The only problem is the ensuite showers, there no water pressure at all. There was no floor mats on the kitchen floor and it would be nice to have a fruit basket in the property. Otherwise our stay was great.

  • "We had an absolutely fantastic weekend at your home."

Views were stunning and weather made the weekend. A couple of pointers that we think could be beneficial to other holiday makers: The house is equipped to cater for a large amount of people, given its the holiday season,. and the weather being so good, there was only 1 picnic bench for people to sit. (Albeit, I had messaged prior to arriving to ask the question, we were able to bring our own seats) The cutlery drawer was full of crumbs and had to be cleaned out prior to use. The oven and grill took forever to heat up. We were only cooking bacon. All in all, a fantastic location and a brilliant weekend. Thanks

  • "The view was beautiful and the property was very clean."

However the point of contact we had was unfriendly and not entirely helpful. It states there is underfloor heating in the property but this is not the case. The kitchen was not well equipped and we had to go out to buy utensils, some of which we left there for future guests. The water pressure in the en-suites was pathetic, we ended up having to use the main bathroom/downstairs shower room. Also the sink in one of the en-suites appeared to be blocked meaning my grandparents couldn't use the facilities in their room either. Ordinarily we wouldn't complain but there were too many inaccuracies/inadequacies for us to overlook it. We wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't be able to recommend it.

I am disappointed to read your feedback. I was not aware that you had bought utensils nor that any was needed, I would have sorted that instantly. I had emailed all the information on the house to you and then had correspondence regarding the heating that night which I explained how to use again, I received your messages re a dog that you thought was stray but you didn’t take into the house re the pet policy - with smiles and funny emojis so I assumed all was well when I responded. There are four bathrooms yet had I been aware of the sink in one I would have had a plumber on site. Your message to me was “The place is stunning and so clean, so a massive thank you for this” I look after a number of properties, and this is the first time I have been called unfriendly – disappointing when you are only made aware of it in a review. • "Fantastic property in superb location with the only blemish being the showers as there was hardly any water."

Also furniture protectors for chairs would be beneficial as they make such a noise when moved. Other than that facilities were what you would expect and the beds were comfortable.
