  • "Fantastic spot, great house , great host and plenty off comfort and space."

    the cottage is steeped with history but with a modern day twist, plenty of room for a family off 5 and a dog. ideal location for exploring north donegal, beachs everywhere you look and great little towns on your doorstep. the surrounding area gives you plenty of space and the lovely patio area is a great spot in the evenings. the cinema is great for movie nights and watching sports. highly recommend this spot and the owner shane is always at hand if needed and his tips and knowledge of the surrounding area is valuable. will certainly be back.

Park up outside of the cottage and admire your stunning Mulroy Bay surroundings, the ultimate idyll at any time of the year.

Mulroy bay is famous for it's mussels all over the world.

Step inside the cottage to find a traditionally styled kitchen/diner hosting all you could need for a week-long stay, with an impressive range cooker at the centre letting you cook up a storm to be enjoyed together at the dining table.

Move through into the colourful sitting room and take a seat on the stylish sofa, snuggling up beside the warmth of the woodburning stove for the perfect evening in with your loved ones.

There is also an HD cinema with a 10 foot screen and surround sound making a great place for move nights in.

You can also spend some time outside in the private garden where a second log burner awaits making a lovely spot to toast marshmallows and make everlasting memories.

Back inside, the ground floor also hosts a family bedroom made up of king-size and a bunk bed, perfect for those travelling with younger children, as well as the shower room being on this floor too, wonderfully suited to those with limited mobility, with the floor of the shower giving you a taste of the wonder to come with pebbles from the beach lining the shower enclosure.

On the first floor rests the second bedroom of a king-size bed sitting beneath the sloping ceilings, making a great hideaway for the couple of the group and boasting awe-inspiring views.

Explore the local area by foot with plenty of scenic beauty to discover in the form of a wonderful lough adjacent to the property making an unrivalled position for a morning coffee, or wander further afield to discover a whole host of fantastic amenities in the seaside resort of Carrigart including two supermarkets, a take-away, café, two bars, a butcher’s and a chemist.

The seaside resort of Carrigart in County Donegal sits to the east of the area known as Sheephaven Bay, which stretches to Dunfanaghy in the west. Carrigart is a traditional and tidy little village, with a pleasant park which is ideal for picnics. There are two supermarkets, a take-away, café, two bars, a butcher’s and a chemist. The horse riding centre in the village can cater for all abilities, so why not see some of the spectacular surrounding countryside from horseback? There are facilities for golfing, fishing, diving and watersports in the area, making this a great destination for those who want an active break.
