  • "A large house to accommodate our family (6 guests, 2 adults, 3 kids & 1 dog) in a lovely location but in need of some major maintenance."

Rental price paid for the week's rental did not reflect the quality of the property, we expected a much higher quality of property like the listing entry alluded to. We have stayed in multiple properties for Christmas week in the Donegal area with a much higher level of quality for much cheaper cost. List of issues shared directly with landlord to address.

  • "Toilets were temperamental- a lot of them would not flush from time to time."

Apologies for the inconvenience - we where not made aware of the issues. The next party that arrived on the day of your departure - did make us aware that day and the issue was with a blockage in on the outside pipes - and it was addressed immediately - if you had made me aware of the issue during your stay - it would have been sorted - thanks for your feedback Property Owner

  • "The house is a beautiful house in a stunning location but in need of a little TLC."

Upon arrival we noticed loads of dead flies in the upstairs bedrooms which we had to clean up. Seems to be a lot of mold and damp around the house. It probably needs redecoration throughout. That said it was a big enough and comfortable enough for us all and in a perfect location to explore Donegal.

First and foremost, the house is decorated every year to the highest standards - painted throughout. This review is certainly not in line, with the other excellent feedback we have received from other guests that have stayed throughout 2022 and we have had at least 30 other stays prior with no issues. • "The house was beautifully clean and quite spacious."

A quiet location, surrounded by hills and fields. It was ideal for exploring the Fanad peninsula, and within easy reach of many lovely beaches. Whilst it was great to have ensuites, hot water was not readily available in the downstairs bathrooms. Kitchen equipment was fairly basic, a salad spinner and grater would be great. We appreciated the cot and high chair. There was no compost bin, so we used the rubbish bin for that!! It is a good holiday house. The directions for reaching it were not quite accurate, but the satnav got us there anyway. All in all, we would give it an eight.
