Travel the short distance north from Ardara in Co. Donegal to the small village of Narin, nestling in beautiful Gweebarra Bay and you will find Lakehouse Hotel Cottages. This collection of 10 cottages, set in the grounds of beautiful Lakeshore Hotel have been lovingly decorated and furnished to provide sheer relaxation during your stay. Each cottage has its own private garden overlooking Lake Clooney and Portnoo/Narin golf links. Offering an excellent choice of 3 or 4 bedrooms, spacious kitchen and open plan dining room/sitting room, this is the perfect place to drop the luggage, kick off the shoes and run to the nearby beach. Outside the cottage, the strand at Narin beckons. Feel the Atlantic breeze on your face as you beachcomb the unspoilt coastline. The neighbouring village of Portnoo is a short distance away with elevated views out to Gweebarra Bay and Inishkeel Island offshore. Narin-Portnoo golf links is close by and offers wonderful golf facilities during your stay. This is a wonderful location for families to relax and feel refreshed. Travel to nearby Ardara and Dungloe and savour the local knitting crafts or relax in the local pubs. Take a stroll on deserted sands at Loughros Point. Take a day trip to the county town of Donegal with its interesting craft shops and comfortable restaurants and head out along the coast road to Killbegs, Carrick and Glencolmcille for breathtaking scenery. Visit the sea cliffs at Slieve League and return to Lakeshore Hotel for a cosy candle-lit supper with open peat fires. Lakehouse Hotel Cottages are cosy and welcoming. The small village of Narin lies in Gweebarra Bay, on the west coast of County Donegal. With rolling bog land, rocky shores and low hills, the Donegal landscape in Narin is beautiful for long walks and country pursuits. Narin Strand is a lovely long Blue Flag sandy beach with great swimming opportunities as well as boating and watersports. From the beach you can see Inishkeel Island out in the bay, which at low tide, can be reached by foot. The Narin-Portnoo Golf Club, with its sweeping views of Gweebarra Bay is considered one of the finest natural and scenic 18 hole links courses in Ireland. Close by, and well worth a visit are the villages of Ardara, with an interesting heritage, and Dungloe, home to the famous 'Mary from Dungloe' Festival, while Donegal Town is just a little further.
