The property

This beautiful house overlooks the mountains of Inishowen with views sweeping across to Lough Swilly, a breath-taking destination to begin your holiday.

Suited for families and friends, Kate's Cottage is spaciously presented, the perfect opportunity to come together with your loved ones and simply relax.

Upon entering, be welcomed by a homely lounge which comprises leather sofas, an open fire for those cooler evenings, and rose coloured curtains that elegantly fall from the windows.

The kitchen/diner is equally as delightful including a charming dining table for six people and a modernised set of units effectively wrapped in a contrasting black and white overtone.

Open up the french doors leading out to the patio area to let the fresh air inside, or cosy up before the electric log effect fire after the sun goes down.

A utility area and cloakroom complete the ground floor.

The upper level is your haven for a peaceful night's sleep, with a choice of three fabulous room, including a spacious master bedroom with ample storage, exposed beams, and a lovely en-suite.

This is followed by a double and twin room each brought to life by oak furnishings and skylight windows to bring the natural scenery inside.

A classic bathroom finishes the interior to a standard of quality.

Outdoors, make the most of the mature well-maintained garden and its fabulous decked area also providing a barbecue for a sunny afternoon.

The house is situated a short 5 minute drive to a beautiful beach and only a short distance to Portsalon golf Club.

The Atlantic Drive is one of the nicest road trips in the area and begins a short way from the house.

The sleepy seaside village also offers a variety of local shops and pubs and a long sandy beach ideal for lazy days.

The Fanad Peninsula is a haven for walkers, hikers and nature enthusiasts, featuring a calming coastline.

About the location

Letterkenny 15 miles.

Nestled on the shore of Lough Swilly on the Fanad Peninsula, the quaint village of Rathmullan has a colourful history. It was from here that the last of the Celtic chieftains fled Ireland, now known as the Flight of the Earls, and there is an interesting heritage centre in the village commemorating this vital event in Ireland’s history. This sleepy seaside village offers a variety of local shops and pubs and a long sandy beach ideal for lazy days. The Fanad Peninsula is a haven for walkers, hikers and nature enthusiasts, and boasts a stunning coastline. The summer ferry crosses Lough Swilly to Buncrana, opening up Inishowen and beyond, and it’s only a short distance to the town of Letterkenny.
